George said, “Zolantix doesn’t sell its drugs individually. Its focus is mainly on research.”

“That’s right. The company recently moved to Draventh. So, maybe we can try approaching them.”

After a pause, Emmett continued, “If it wasn’t just an unlucky accident, then someone must have deliberately poisoned the kids. Whoever did it was clearly aiming for their lives.

“Fortunately, they didn’t ingest much, so they’re stable for now. However, the reports show that their optic nerves have already been affected. We need targeted treatment as soon as possible.”

Elena’s face was grave. “Thank you, Dr. Singleton.”

Emmett shook his head. “I’ll take my leave then.”

Once Emmett left, Elena turned to Nathan. “What should we do?”

Nathan’s attention was on Rhea.

The kids had been harmed at the Ravelle residence. There was no way the Ravelles would ignore them. If they didn’t take responsibility, the public backlash would be brutal.

In cases like this, an investigation was usually required. Rhea didn’t mind and simply said, “Alright.”

She stood and said, “Nathan, keep watch here.”

Carter was completely unreliable.

This was clearly a setup targeting Rhea. But who would want to harm her?

George lit a cigarette in the smoking area. “Check on Kate and Lauren.”

The officer nodded. “Will do.”

Arthur was in the military, so tracing that number would be a simple task for him.

George lowered his gaze. “Understood. Thanks.”

“Okay.”

That afternoon, Liam learned about the situation from Nathan. He frowned at once. Who was targeting his precious daughter?

At that moment, his phone rang.

“George?”

“Mr. Ravelle, I need a favor,” George said.

After a few minutes of discussion, Liam went personally to the military base where Arthur was stationed.
