“I’ll there myself, then,” Henry sighed. “But even if we get the wedding dress quote, the dress is still at the villa and we can’t get it.”

Shannon huffed in annoyance. “That’s because you spoiled her. She wanted to live separately, and you actually moved out of the villa.”

“I did it to be with you, didn’t I?”

Henry tapped Shannon’s nose and looked up. “I also didn’t expect that you’d get pregnant again.”

Shannon wiggled her hips and just hummed, but didn’t say anything.

“Anyway, I wasn’t planning to sell the wedding dress right away. Waiting another couple of weeks or a month won’t hurt.”

Henry squinted, the calculation in them was obvious.

Shannon sat up straight from his embrace. “Are you still going ahead with your next plan?”

Worry showed clearly in her eyes as her hand kept touching nervously to her still–flat stomach.

Henry nodded, the greed in his gaze churning like waves.

He saw the concern in Shannon’s eyes and stroked her hand to calm her. “Don’t worry. Once we squeeze the last bit of value out of Kylie, we’ll disappear for good. When I tried to sell the villa before, they came to me. But now, for the wedding dress, they want me to go to their office. That means this dress is probably worth way more than what they first estimated.”

He clicked his tongue twice. “They estimated this dress was worth 300 million. If it goes any higher…”

Their eyes met, and Shannon’s eyes were full of excitement.

Henry smiled, and put his arm around Shannon’s shoulder. “Shannon, the Larsons behind Kylie aren’t just a simple family; they’re a goldmine.”

Hearing Henry’s confident tone made Shannon’s heart start to pound.

“Back then, they looked down on me. Kylie is their own daughter, but they kicked her out of

the family just because they disliked me.”

Thinking about the past, Henry ground his teeth. “Since I’m finally leaving Crorus, I’m going to get revenge for everything that happened more than ten years ago!”

Shannon looked up at Henry’s dark expression and didn’t try to stop him anymore.

But when she looked down, rubbing her stomach, she felt extremely uneasy.

All these years, you’ve been forced to stay abroad and suffer because of her. I owe it to you to make things right.”

Shannon was touched by his words.

She hugged Henry tightly, like a kitten seeking warmth. “Henry!”

She always called him sweetly like this since they were kids.

Henry heard it and felt heat rush through his body.

The two exchanged loving looks and then ended up in bed.

Meanwhile, Kylie, who was still at Ember Villa, sneezed.

She rubbed her nose and looked up at the empty “home“.

At first, she didn’t know about this villa, but Henry later explained he bought it specifically because he wanted to expand his business in Aetheris.

Kylie slumped weakly on the couch, feeling like a hollow person.

She didn’t know when it started, but she’d had a persistent feeling of heaviness in her heart

that made her depressed and drained. No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn’t figure out the reason.
