Entering Phineas‘ office, she tried to forget the last time she was here, but her eyes automatically flicked to where the monitor she’d seen Kyst’s betrayal take place was now hidden behind the wall panels.

“Hey sweetheart,” Phineas immediately got up from his desk and rounded it to walk towards her, pulling her out of Adil’s grasp and hugging her tight to him. “This is a nice surprise.”

She wound her arms around his waist and hugged him back. “Suki was exhausted and went home but I wasn’t ready to go home yet. I thought I’d pop in and say hello. Adil picked me up on the bike.”

He smoothed her hair down on her head with a teasing, grin, “it explains the helmet hair. I wish I’d seen you on the bike. I bet it was very sexy.”

She gasped as he swept her up in his arms and carried her to sit on his lap behind his desk. “Phineas!”

“As if your feet should ever touch the floor when I’m around.” He kissed her temple. He looked at Adil, “thought you had a case this morning?”

Phineas laughed, “we had one here. He filed a worker’s compensation claim for a slip down the stairs. He claimed his back was irrevocably damaged.”

“Yes way. Adil caught him participating in a three–day bachelor party in Vegas and part of the activities were bungy jumping and zip lining and he participated in everything. He didn’t sit a single event out and he didn’t even walk with a limp. He simply

“That’s kind of cool.” She smiled at Adil. “Do you wear disguises?”

“You had someone there too?”

“Too?” Phineas asked curiously.

“Frank and Suki stopped at a coffee shop this morning before he dropped her at a completely different one to wait for Juniper. My guy was following Kyst and let me know Suki was in the frame and how Frank picked Kyst up and threw him for hitting a woman.”

“He hit Suki?” Phineas tensed under Juniper’s lap.

“No.” Adil laughed. “Kyst was being accosted by a superfan of his dick demanding to be able to hop on it and when he got mean with her, she smacked him in the face and Kyst hit her back.”

My tech team managed to get into his work phone and his computer and there is a full set of files of women he’s flirted and seduced with sexy words and it’s all at his boss‘ encouragement.”

“What?” Juniper leaned forward.

“His boss, the middle–aged prick, uses Kyst as his pretty boy to get flirty with women and to do what it takes to get the business in.
