Mission To Remarry My Unbeatable Ex-wife novel Chapter 10

3rd POV:

A WEEK LATER:

Mrs Anderson and the entire Anderson family had been invited to an engagement party of one of the board of director's sons, the Lauder family. They were extremely wealthy and had three daughters and two sons, their father had another son out of wedlock, but wasn't accepted by Mrs Lauder, so he was in another country.

Ross, who was seated in his pitch black room, was thinking deeply. He had on a black suit and his entire outfit from head to toe was black.

“How would I explain this to Grandpa Philip?” He questioned himself, running hand down his face. He didn't care about anyone else asking about Terra, except his grandfather whom he had promised to take care of Terea, protect and at least try and make her happy.

“So much for making her happy.” He chuckled humorlessly speaking out loud. He adjusted his silver wrist watch on his wrist and wore his wedding ring then took a deep breath.

He had been avoiding calls from Grandpa Philip while his mother had been ignoring his question.

After the conversation with the driver, Fred, Ross turned around his office chair and dialed his mother's number. She excitedly answered on the first ring.

“Hello son. How are you doing?” Mrs Anderson sang and Ross pursed his lips hoping his mother didn't do what he suspected.

“I have a question to ask and mum, don't lie to me.” He spoke darkly and Mrs Anderson knitted her eyebrow.

“You didn't inquire about my well-being or how my day is going, you are just speaking to your mother in that tone.” She said and Ross could feel anger building inside of him.

“Why did you come over to my house the other day without calling after what you had done to my wife the other night?” Ross asked.

“I came to apologize to my daughter-in-law.” Mrs Anderson responded smiling brightly, Ross could hear the happiness in her tone.

“You came over to apologize to Terra? You, mother?” Mrs Anderson bursted out laughing and Ross sucked his teeth in irritation.

Does she think I am playing around? He thought to himself.

“Apologies. It's just your tone tickling my insides. I just came to check on you two, alright? I searched around the house then left.” Her laughter died down as she spoke but Ross wasn't believing her.

“So Mum, you're telling me you didn't see the divorce papers in my home office and knowing how much you hate Terra and our marriage, you didn't grab my silver custom made pen and forge my signature? Is that what you're trying to say, Mother?”

Ross described it exactly how he pictured it and Mrs Anderson remained mute in shock.

“You're accusing me of a crime…son? I am in such a delightful mood, I won't let you spoil it. So goodbye.” She hung up after and Ross clenched and unclenched his jaw in pure irritation.

The major reason Ross was headed to the party tonight was to talk to his mother face to face, where she couldn't run from him and he could see her facial reaction.

Ross walked out of his room and strolled down the stairs, the entire employees kept mute and stood still. He had been in a terrible mood in his mansion as well, the other day he had fired a maid who had said,
