Mission To Remarry My Unbeatable Ex-wife novel Chapter 8

ROSS'S POV:

5 MONTHS EARLIER:

I was on my way to my house driving by myself as I needed to clear my mind. The cool night breeze was refreshing and the city's lights were shining beautifully. Though it was night and on a Sunday, it was still busy, not just as busy as a weekday.

I stopped at a traffic light and I found myself staring at a small family, a man holding his woman's hands and the small little girl skipping through the pedestrian walk. They seemed extremely happy and though I was uncertain if they were wealthy or not, but through their basic outfits, respectfully. They were most likely middle class or not my type of wealthy, yet they were happy.

But with everything I had and provided for Terra, she wasn't still happy. Could I blame her?

There was so much my grandfather and even my mother did not know about me. I had thoughts on revealing everything to her then probably apologize.

Based on the information from my assistant, friends, it was all over the news and the masses had tagged her as The Anderson Miner.

“Get it? Because they think she's MINING out of your family's gold or wealth whichever..” My friend, Jeremy, chuckled as he talked over the phone. I just kissed my teeth sharply and ended the call.

I glanced at the time and saw it was about five minutes after 8 p. After debating internally for a few minutes, as soon as the red light turned green, I drove in full speed to the flower store.

I didn't exactly have a plan but I hoped at least flowers and a card with nice words would change her mind on getting a divorce. I just couldn't handle it, I don't know what it is, but the two of us going our separate ways made my heart race in a bad way.

I stepped into the flower shop and the doorbell chirped announcing my presence. A lady who looked in between her late twenties and early thirties tying an apron around her waist walking towards me with a huge grin on her face.

“Welcome sir! What can I get for you today?” She asked and I looked from her to the bunch of flowers in the store.

I had no idea what type of flowers Terra liked. I don't know her middle name neither did I ever care before. But her words and the pain in her eyes since last night had me feeling different.

The feeling was scary.

“Is it something for your mum or wife or girlfriend? Anything specific?" She asked again and I was just keeping it cool on the outside but internally I was freaking out.

What was for Terra needed to be perfect.

“I'm not sure what exactly my wife likes but can I get a bouquet of red roses?” I spoke and she smiled nodding her head.

There was no way I could go wrong with roses right?

“Oh and I need a card to be written.” I said as she got to work with the flowers.

“Alright sir, what do you need it to say?” She asked and I inhaled and exhaled deeply then licked my lips.

“DON'T DIVORCE ME.”
