When Catherine returned home, she saw Jeremy standing at the door. She was surprised. ” Why are you here?”

“I have something to tell you,” Jeremy answered. His voice was slightly hoarse.

“Let’s talk inside.” Catherine opened the door and poured him a glass of water.

Jeremy thanked her and stared at her retreating figure with a trace of longing. But when she turned around, his expression returned to calm, as if they were just friends.

He then took a sip of water and asked softly, “Cathy, are you tracking those kidnappers?”

Catherine blinked in surprise. “How did you know?”

“I only found out you were kidnapped after I learned about your hospitalization,” Jeremy said. A shiver ran through him.

Luckily, she was unharmed.

Catherine pressed her palm to her cheek and sighed. “It’s a shame they vanished without a trace. I can’t find any evidence of Michelle hiring someone to kill me.”

Jeremy put down his glass and gazed at her face. “I came here to tell you that those people are

under my control.”

“Under your control?” Catherine stared at him, stunned. No wonder Adam hadn’t been able to trace those kidnappers.

Jeremy nodded. “As soon as I learned what happened to you, I took charge of them. I have proof that Michelle paid someone to have you killed.”

Catherine’s breathing quickened. She had thought there was no way to incriminate Michelle. She never expected Jeremy to surprise her this way.

However, his tone suddenly shifted. “Cathy, now is not the right time to go after Michelle.”

“Why?” Catherine raised her chin.

“Given how much Harry cares about her, he’ll do everything to contain this matter. Even if we have the evidence, we can’t make Michelle pay the price she deserves,” Jeremy explained patiently.

The Zimmerman family would never sit idly by and let something bad happen to Catherine. Likewise, Harry would never let Michelle get into trouble.

sleeves and gently guided her out of the kitchen.

Catherine stood at the doorway. “You’re a guest. I can’t let you cook. I’ll do it.”
