Harry pressed his lips into a thin line.

Before he had time to react, someone grabbed his arm. Michelle’s voice, sweet to the point of cloying, followed. “What are you looking at?”

Harry quickly looked away. “Nothing. I really owe you for today. I never would’ve closed such a big deal without you.”

But Michelle hadn’t missed the flicker of discontent in his eyes. When she arrived, she caught

sight of Catherine stepping out of the elevator.

What had gone on in there? Or was Harry jealous because he had seen Catherine with Jeremy?

The thought made Michelle frown. She told herself it was possible, though she wasn’t entirely

Since her divorce, Catherine’s appearance and spirit had noticeably brightened.

As a woman, Michelle knew how alluring that kind of transformation could be. Though Harry’s expression stayed neutral, his eyes betrayed that his mind was elsewhere.

“Mmm.” Harry grunted. “How are your injuries? You don’t need to rush back to work.”

Michelle touched her shoulder and shook her head. “It hasn’t hurt in a while. Honestly, I’d rather work than sit around in the hospital alone. What if Bluebay Group goes bankrupt?”

“It won’t,” Harry replied casually.

Michelle caught the perfunctory tone in his voice and smiled, though it never reached her eyes. Instead, her smile carried a trace of resentment.

As Harry turned to leave, Michelle trailed after him.

In a seemingly casual tone, she said, “Harry, there’s a senior from Northbridge University who works in biology. He’s asking me to invest in his lab. What do you think?”

“Yes, but his fee isn’t cheap,” Jeremy replied, a faint smile playing on his lips.
