Chapter 57 Harry, Don’t You Care at All

The villa in Cedarfall Hills was highly sought-after, and inquiries poured in as soon as the sale was announced.

Yet none of the offers met Catherine’s expectations.

She had originally purchased the villa for over 300 million dollars, and the renovations had added another 20 million. With housing prices on the rise again, she aimed to sell it for around 350 million.

Glancing at her bank balance, she saw she still had about 20 million left. It was enough to get by for now.

With that reassurance, Catherine no longer felt the rush to sell.

Right after she hung up with Adam, Rachel called, saying, “Cathy, if you’re short on money, you can just ask me. Why would you even think about selling the villa?”

Catherine was surprised that Rachel had already gotten wind of the sale. A faint smile touched her lips at the concern in Rachel’s voice.

“Rachel, I just don’t feel anything for the villa in Cedarfall Hills anymore. I’ll never go back there.”

Rachel immediately understood what she meant.

She felt a twinge of sadness that such a beautiful home had been ruined by Harry. But thinking about what he had done, she couldn’t blame Catherine for giving up on him.

If Catherine hadn’t given up on him, she wouldn’t even have considered selling their marital

home.

She let out a soft sigh.

Rachel pulled herself together and gave her a few reminders. “Just remember to tell me if you need money. Don’t carry all your burdens alone.”

Catherine agreed before ending the call.

Rachel stared at her phone, the tenderness on her face fading. With a stern expression, she dialed Harry, her voice sharp from the start. “Do you know that Cathy is selling your marital home?”

Her yell came through as soon as he answered. Harry held the phone away from his ear, eyes

fixed on his documents, clearly unconcerned.

“The property is in her name. What she does with it has nothing to do with me.”

Rachel’s voice faltered and then fell silent. After a long, tense minute, she finally spoke again.” Don’t you care at all?”

His cold, indifferent demeanor cut deep. Rachel could only shudder at the thought of what Catherine, who had lived with him for two years, must have endured.

How much coldness and neglect had she endured? No wonder she had asked for a divorce.

Harry’s reply carried a trace of subtle sarcasm. “Why should I care? We’ve been divorced for a while. You don’t need to involve me in her affairs. It will only make me grow more tired of her.

Rachel remained quiet for a few seconds. Even though they were divorced, she had always

believed they might reconcile.

Whenever something happened to Catherine, Rachel’s instinct was to turn to Harry. But now, she realized it was truly impossible for them to ever be together again.

Catherine letting go, combined with Harry’s coldness, made it clear that the couple Rachel had been rooting for had now become a tragedy.

After hanging up the phone, Rachel felt a pang in her chest. She was genuinely upset.

Harry, on the other hand, found Rachel’s reaction completely baffling, irritated that she was troubled over something so minor.

He stared at his documents for several minutes but couldn’t focus on a single word. Frustrated, he picked up his phone and messaged Adrian.

After all, he had lived in that house for two years, and the idea of someone else living there made him uneasy.

Even if he had thrown some things away, he couldn’t bear the thought of an outsider touching

them.

Harry had Adrian use a fake identity to buy back the home he once shared with Catherine. At the very least, it held memories he cherished.
