Chapter 63 The Child You Carry is Mine

The maid, however, spoke up. “Mr. Zimmerman, Ms. Rachel invited her.”
Harry shot the maid a sharp look, and she immediately fell silent.
Catherine had long since grown accustomed to Harry’s cruelty and had learned to tune it out. Calmly swallowing the slightly bitter matcha mousse, she replied, “It was such a generous
invitation. It would’ve been rude to decline.”
Harry stepped closer, gripping her wrist. He pressed his knee between her legs, his gaze intense. “Are you planning to break our agreement?”
His grip was so tight it left a red mark on her wrist.
“You’re hurting me,” Catherine said, wincing.
“Someone as tough as you actually feels pain?” Harry’s voice was mocking, though he loosened his grip slightly.
Catherine looked up to meet his eyes. “Go look for your parents if you’re so upset. They’re the ones who made me attend.”
“Was it really that hard to just say no?” Harry lifted her chin.
Catherine swatted his hand away. “It was. I can refuse to see your parents, but I can’t stop them from coming to see me.”
Harry was about to reply when his leg accidentally brushed against her stomach.
A strange sensation ran through him.
He instinctively moved away from her abdomen, but in doing so, he knocked her bag to the floor. The check Nigel had given her slipped out.
Harry picked it up, his eyes narrowing as he studied it. The check bore the unmistakable official stamp of the Zimmerman family.
Why would Nigel give her such a large sum?
Catherine snatched the check from his hand and shoved it back into her bag. “If you have
nothing else to say, please leave.”
Harry didn’t move. He studied her face, his gaze sharpening. “My parents may be fond of you, but they wouldn’t hand over that much money for no reason.”
And then there was Rachel, always so concerned for the baby in her belly.
A wild, almost unbelievable thought seized him.

Harry reached out, placing his hand gently on her stomach. His voice was low, carrying both challenge and unshakable certainty. “Catherine… this child is mine, right?”

Chapter 63 Everyone Is Hiding It From Me
Catherine narrowed her eyes and snapped back at once. “No, it’s not!”
Harry caught every flicker of emotion that crossed her face, and that was all the confirmation he needed. “The child is mine.”
“It’s not yours!” Catherine shoved him away, turning her back in a fluster.
Harry didn’t push any further. Instead, he sat down across from her, pulled out a cigarette,
and rolled it between his fingers without lighting it. A look of relief spread across his face, the weight of frustration lifting from his shoulders.
Catherine had always been good at keeping secrets.
Playing with the unlit cigarette, he remained calm, asking, “How did you get pregnant? We were always careful.”
Catherine’s hands clenched tightly on her thighs. She stayed silent.
Harry scoffed, not pressing for more. “Just because you won’t tell me doesn’t mean I can’t find out.”
Catherine finally spoke. “The child is mine. It has nothing to do with you.”
Harry rose to his feet, towering over her. “Whether it concerns me or not isn’t for you to
decide.”
With that, he turned and walked out of the room.
Nigel was already waiting in his study. The first thing Harry did was ask his father, “About Catherine’s child. It’s mine, isn’t it?”
Nigel froze, stunned into silence, before finally replying, “How did you figure it out?”
“That billion-dollar check. And the way my mother treats Catherine now, like she’s some priceless treasure.” Harry pulled out a chair and sat across from him, his eyes cold and unyielding.
Nigel didn’t answer right away. Instead, he pulled out the pregnancy test results Catherine had given him. “The child is yours.”
Harry lowered his gaze to the report. He had already known Catherine was pregnant, but the knowledge that the baby was his made everything feel different.
Still, one question nagged at him. “But we used protection.”
