The sun shone on the ground in July, and the surface became very hot, almost as if it could start burning.

It was extremely hot, so I took a taxi to the group and ended up giving my earrings to the driver because I didn’t have money for the fare.

“Ms. Perez, it’s been a long time since we last saw you. What happened to Mr. Pearson? I heard from Ms. Hoffman that he’s sick, and you’ve been taking care of him, so you let her manage the company.”

The speaker was Lorena Baird from the front desk, who usually had a good relationship with Denise. Seeing no one around, she asked me directly.

I was so angry I ground my teeth, but now was not the time to cause a crisis for the company. I couldn’t reveal Leland’s affair.

I smiled slightly, “Lorena, tell Denise to come to work. I’ll give her back her position as the manager of the Design Department. Also, inform all the leaders of the Development Project in Mississippi to come to the office for a meeting.”

Lorena’s eyes showed a sweet smile.”Okay, I’ll notify Ms. Barnett right away. Ms. Perez, thank goodness you’re back.”

I turned around feeling confident and entered the elevator, holding my head high and straightening my back.

Caitlyn, you stole my husband and were trying to take my company. The more arrogant you were now, the more miserable I would make you. Since you ruined my marriage, you wouldn’t get off easy

either.

Feeling confident, I came to Leland’s office, but when I opened the door, it was full of smoke. Caitlyn had her legs on the desk, looking superior.

I looked at Caitlyn in disbelief.”Aren’t you pregnant? How are you still smoking? Does Leland know?”

Caitlyn quickly threw the cigarette butt into the trash and stood up, her perfect figure shown in a white suit.
