Chapter 25
As I watched my best friend leave, I happily returned to my bedroom.
In a hurry, I quickly changed out of the wig and clothes. Johan directly threw them away.
Monu
Wow, so this is how it feels to have a fight. Leland, are you with your lover now and comforting her?”
I took out my phone and directly made a video call.”Honey, where are you?”
Leland shushed someone before speaking, “I’m sorry. I couldn’t make it because of work. I had the driver go to pick you up.”
The camera was on Leland, and the background behind couldn’t be seen clearly. Yet, I heard somebody say “ouch” next to Leland, and it was definitely
Caitlyn.
I remained silent for a few seconds.”Go back to work; Johan came to pick me up. I have already returned home, so don’t worry.”
Okay, you are the most understanding and the best wife!”
I hung up the phone and sneered, “Leland, you really don’t care about me, do you? Can I escape from you alive?”
When I thought of that recording, my tears welled up again.
Tears kept rolling down. I took out my diary to record my unhappiness.
Leland, we grew up together and have been relying on each other. Do you truly want me dead?”
“Is it because you married into my family? Does that make you feel ashamed in the business world?”
But haven’t I already given you enough respect? Is that not enough?”
Because I valued your hard work, the company was renamed the Leslie Group. I remember I said that I wanted to have a baby with you, a boy or a girl, whose name would be Leslie.”
But now, you are having a baby with a woman like Caitlyn, and we don’t even have a child yet.”
It has been three years. Are you afraid that our child’s last name will be Perez instead of Pearson?”
This is really important to you, isn’t it?”
I closed my diary, and my mind was in turmoil.
Today I fought with Caitlyn, and I was in a good mood. But when did I become so jealous?
Leland was going to kill me, and I still got jealous. How ridiculous.
I turned around and took a bottle of wine, smelling the fragrance in the glass, I drank one glass after another sorrowfully, tears rolling down.
I got drunk, and the night was slightly cool. I simply stood at the entrance of the villa waiting for Leland.
