The hospital at night was quiet and sparsely populated, especially in the VIP area.

Downstairs, several patients were moving around, getting some exercise.

Doctors and nurses were busy with their tasks.

Scarlett stood at the top of the stairs, gazing thoughtfully at the bright moon hanging in the sky.

Hugo watched her, then glanced up at the moon as well.

As he looked at her small face, with skin as smooth as porcelain, resembling a young woman in her early twenties, Hugo

found it hard to tear his gaze away.

It took him a while to snap back to reality. “Wait for me,” he said, getting up to leave.

But after a few steps, he turned back.
