Hugo didn’t know whether to feel relieved or frustrated.

Looking at Scarlett, he felt like she was a stone that couldn’t be warmed.

After a long pause, Hugo spoke, “Fine, you can disregard me. But if Grandpa Adler and the

kids knew how you felt, what do you think they’d say? If something really happened to you,

how would they cope?”
