Rebirth Of The Heiress And The Tycoon's Lover (Alina) novel Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

ALINA’S POV.

I stumbled back, the blood in my veins running cold.

“What’s wrong?” Talia, ever observant, rushed to my side, her tone filled with concern.

“He… he…” I couldn’t get the words out. My hand shook violently as I pointed at the picture.

Talia’s eyes followed mine and she grabbed the photo.

I took another step back, like the man in the image would leap out and attack me.

“Relax, baby. This is the guy that Rosa was supposedly dating.” She said calmly, trying to soothe me.

“Wh… What?” I stuttered, confused.

“The picture Jacobi just sent me a few minutes ago, this is the guy in it,” she said. “Why do you look so pale?”

I hadn’t checked the picture Cobi sent to her.

“That… that’s Jackson.” The revelation came out in a whisper, my throat dry.

“Who is Jackson?” Talia looked at me, confused.

“The guy I thought I saw earlier.” I told her, my voice shaky.

“The one from your past life that treated you badly?” She asked, her eyes wide.

“Yes.” I nodded, the memories flooding back.

“How exactly did he hurt you, Ally?” Talia asked, her tone now laced with something deeper, protectiveness, maybe.

I gave her the summarized, PG version. I couldn’t bring myself to recount the full horror.

“Jesus Christ, baby. I’m so sorry,” she said, pulling me into a comforting hug. “You know this changes a lot of things, right?”

“How?” I asked, pulling away slightly, confused.

“It’s obvious there’s a pattern to how this Jackson guy operates. You do look a little like Rosaline, you know.”

“Yeah, I’ve been told that by Cobi before.”

“I think Jackson is stalking you because you probably remind him of Rosa,” she pointed out. “And I think he took the initiative to find Seraphina and Adrian in your past life too.”

It made sense now. Why Jackson had been so obsessed with me.

I remembered him always mentioning a “her” when he spoke to me back then, but I was an empty shell at that point,I didn’t

care much of his words.

“What are we going to do now?” I asked, scared. My heart pounded in my chest. Jackson had a nice face, but he was a monster. I would die before I let him get to me.

“We need to put Jacobi in the loop first.” She said.

“How do I explain how I know him?” I asked, dread creeping in.

“Let me handle it.” She said, squeezing my shoulder reassuringly.

She quickly packed the rest of the pictures into the duffel bag and zipped it. We made our way back to the living area.

“There’s an update.” Talia said to Cobi as soon as we got to him.

Cobi turned to her, eyes sharp. He waited for her to continue.

“The name of the guy Rosa was dating, presumably, is Jackson.” She told him.

“How did you find that out so quickly?” He asked, surprised and impressed.

“I have my ways,” she brushed the wuestion off “plus he’s been stalking Alina.” She added.

“What?!” Cobi exclaimed, trying to sit up straighter.

“Easy,” I said quickly. “Don’t rip your stitches.”

“Forget about me. Are you okay? When did this start? How come you never said anything?” He fired question after question at me, his concern genuine.

“I’ve been noticing it for a few weeks now. But I only saw him clearly earlier today, on our way here. He was just leaning casually on the building across the street, staring at me.” I shivered at the memory.

“I think Alina is his next target because she has similar features as Rosa.” Talia told him.

“I’ll kill him before I let him come near you. Over my dead body.” He growled protectively.

If I wasn’t convinced before, I was now, Jackson was responsible for Rosa’s death. I didn’t know why he did it, but he was a murderer. And from the look of things, I was his next victim.

Only God knows how many others he’s killed before Rosa.

“Let’s leave here for now. Then we can talk about this in a safer environment.” Talia suggested.

“I agree,” I said, pulling out my phone and dialing Jordan. “You can come get us.” I said as soon as he picked up, then hung

A few seconds later, I heard the sound of an engine outside.

“Let’s go.” I said. “Can you manage, or should I call Jordan to come help you?” I asked Cobi.

“No, I can manage “He assured me, though his wince said otherwise.

When we got to the car, Jordan’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw Cobi.

“I’ll stay in front.” Talia offered, handing Cobi’s duffel bag to Jordan, who quickly placed it in the boot.

“Sup, man.” Cobi said as he slid into the backseat, acknowledging Jordan with a nod.

Jordan eyed Cobi’s side, which he was clutching in pain, but said nothing, though the concern in his eyes was obvious.

“Feeling alright?” Jordan asked.

“Yeah, man. I’m good.” Cobi responded, though his pale face said otherwise.

“Do you know the address to the condo Lucian gifted me?” I asked Jordan.

I had hated Lucian in the past, so I never cared much about the gift then and didn’t bother asking for the address.
