Rebirth Of The Heiress And The Tycoon's Lover (Alina) novel Chapter 113

Chapter 113

AUTHOR’S POV.

Before Ace could dial. Jordan’s name flashed across the screen. Without hesitation, he picked up instantly and placed it on speaker.

“Jordan” Lucian said, his voice sharp with anticipation.

“Bo… boss… Madame is gone.”

Twenty minutes earlier.

Alina had been swamped with tasks today. The fabrics she had ordered for their most recent client were scheduled to arrive, and she was currently poring over the records, eyes skimming across numbers with deep concentration to ensure nothing had been overlooked.

Louis had entrusted her with this job so we wants to make sure it goes smoothly.

“Ma’am, the fabrics have arrived.” Mia announced as she walked briskly into the office.

“Can’t you handle it?” Alina asked, not looking up, her focus still fixed on the ledger in front of her.

“The delivery guy wants you to personally oversee it to make sure there’s no mix-up.”

Alina lifted her head, blinking at Mia with slight annoyance.

“Fine. Let’s go.”

She grabbed her phone and walked out of the office, Mia trailing behind her in hurried steps.

They both took the elevator down to the underground floor of the building.

The complex provided private storage units for each business that needed them. Alina used hers to store fabric, accessories, and machinery, everything essential to her fashion line. As they arrived, a large delivery van was already parked in front of

her unit.

Alina walked over and knocked on the driver’s window, startling the man inside, who appeared to be scrolling through his phone.

He fumbled slightly as he quickly shoved the phone aside and rolled down the window.

“Good afternoon, Ma’am.” He greeted, stepping out of the van with practiced politeness.

“Good afternoon…” Alina paused, giving him a questioning look.

“Samuel.” He offered quickly.

“Samuel,” Alina repeated, “What about Marcus?” She asked, referring to her usual delivery guy.

“His wife just gave birth, so he’s on leave.” Samuel replied with a small smile,

“Oh. Congratulations to him.” Alina responded, a soft smile lighting up her face.

A baby was a beautiful thing. For a fleeting moment, her thoughts drifted to a daydream, her and Lucian’s child, delicate features, perhaps his eyes. She couldn’t wait for that day.

“Let’s see my goods, shall we?” She spoke breaking out of her daydream.

The three of them moved to the back of the van. Samuel unlocked and opened the doors, revealing piles of luxurious fabrics in various textures and colors.

“Are they complete?” He asked, glancing back at her.

“Mia, hand me the list.” Alina said, extending her hand without looking back.

“Uhm… I don’t have it with me, Ma’am. It’s over in the records department.” Mia responded sheepishly.

“Well, hurry and go bring it. I’m sure Samuel has other deliveries go make today.” Alina said, waving her off.

Samuel shot Alina a greatful smile because he indeed had other places to be.

Mia quickly turned and rushed back to the elevator.

“Why don’t you bring them in front of the storage unit? That way, when Mia gets back, we can confirm the order. It’ll be easier to move them in too,” Alina suggested.

“That’s a good idea, Ma’am.” Samuel nodded. He picked up a heavy stack of fabric, straining slightly, and followed Alina toward the unit.

She moved to unlock her storage door and stepped inside, shifting a few items around to make space.

“You can keep it over here, then go grab the rest.” She told him, gesturing toward an empty spot.

Samuel did as instructed and walked about five feet back toward the van.

But seconds passed, and he hadn’t returnedwith another set of fabrics as he should have.

Alina, confused, paused what she was doing. “Are you okay over there, Samuel?” She called out.

No response.

She frowned, setting aside what she was carrying and made her way to the back of the van.

Her breath caught in her throat.

“Oh my God Samuel?!” She gasped in horror, crouching beside his unconscious form. He was sprawled on the ground, unmoving No visible injuries.

Panic gripped her chest as she wondered if he had an underlying medical condition? A heart attack? Heatstroke?

She fumbled for her phone, fingers trembling as she pulled it from her pocket.

But before she could even unlock the screen and call for help, she felt it, that cold, crawling sensation. Her skin prickled. The air behind her shifted.

“Hello, gorgeous” Came a chilling voice, warm breath brushing against her ear.

She didn’t even have time to scream before a cloth was slammed over her nose and mouth.

“Don’t worry, love. We’ll be together from now on.” Was the last thing she heard the crazed voice whispered sinisterly, right before she succumbed to the darkness.

When Mia returned, she found the storage unit door wide open and the fabrics neatly stacked outside. But no sign of Alina.

“Miss Alina?” She called, her voice echoing in the quiet space as she moved toward the van.

“Samuel?” She called again but was met with silence yet again.

As she rounded the back, she froze, a gasp escaping her lips as her hand flew to her mouth in horror.

Samuel was on the ground, unconscious. Next to him was Alina’s phone, screen shattered. A few feet away, one of her heels.

Terror hit her like a wave she knew something was terribly wrong. She shakily pulled out her phone and called Jordan.

“Come down to the storage unit, now! I think Miss Alina has been kidnapped!” She cried into the phone immediately the line connected.

Jordan hung up without a word.

In under five minutes, he arrived with three other bodyguards, Lee among them.

“What happened?” He asked urgently, storming over to Mia.
