Rebirth Of The Heiress And The Tycoon's Lover (Alina) novel Chapter 217

Chapter 217

AUTHOR’S POV.

Alina lay sprawled lifeless on the floor, her gown crumpled around her. And scrawled across the huge full- length mirror in jagged, bloodred letters were words that froze Talia’s blood cold.

A piercing scream tore from her throat, echoing through the restroom.

Lee had been standing guard outside the restroom door when Talia’s piercing scream shattered the calm of the hallway. His instincts flared immediately. He shoved the door open, his sharp eyes scanning the room like a hawk.

What’s going on?His voice was clipped, controlled, but urgent.

Talia stood frozen, her face pale, her hands trembling violently. Words failed her, her throat locked tight with terror. All she could manage was a shaky finger pointing toward the mirror.

Lee’s gaze flicked in that direction. The jagged, bloodred words smeared across the glass made his jaw clench. He didn’t waste another second, he rushed forward, kneeling beside Alina. His fingers pressed against her neck, searching. Relief flickered across his features when he found a faint but steady pulse.

She’s unconscious. He muttered, more to himself than to Talia, though his voice was edged with steel. He cast another quick look around the room. That was when he spotted itthe wideopen window.

His boots clicked sharply against the tile as he crossed the room in quick strides. Leaning out, his eyes narrowed at the sight of the ladder propped from the first floor down to the ground.

Damn it,he hissed under his breath before tapping the discreet earpiece in his ear. His tone dropped into command mode. Jordan, it’s Lee. We’ve got a situation. I don’t know what went down in here, Miss Hart’s too shocked to speak and Miss Alina is unconscious.

Static crackled, then Jordan’s firm voice came through, sharp with concern. On my way.”

Jordan immediately made his way across the hall and found Ace. His expression was grave We’ve got a problem. Lee just called Miss Alina’s down. Unconscious and Miss Hart is too shocked to speak.

Ace froze for half a second, then his jaw set hard. Without hesitation, he strode across the room toward Lucian, who was still in quiet conversation with a guest. His face was taut with urgency as he leaned close.

Boss, there is a situation. His voice was low but deadly serious.

What’s going on.Lucian’s tone went sharp.

It’s Miss Alina. Something happened, Lee just called in. Jordan’s already moving. She’s unconscious.

Lucian’s entire body went rigid, the words crashing over him like ice water. His grip on the glass in his hand tightened until his knuckles whitened. Then, without a word, he shoved it aside and shot to his feet.

The air around him shifted, his presence sharp and commanding, leaving no doubt that something was very,

very wrong.

Where? His voice was hoarse, clipped, and dangerous.

The restroom.Ace answered.

Lucian didn’t wait. He moved, fast and unrelenting, cutting through the crowd like a storm. His heart hammered violently against his chest, fear and rage knotting in his gut.

Lucian!Damien’s voice rang behind him, sharp with concern. He rose quickly from his seat and followed, his long strides catching pace.

Jordan was already in motion, trailing close, while Ace kept at Lucian’s side, ready for anything.

The four men tore down the hallway toward the restroom, urgency pulsing through every step, the tension so thick it nearly strangled the air around them.

The restroom door slammed open, and Lucian stormed inside, his eyes instantly locking on Alina lying motionless on the floor. His chest tightened, a fierce wave of dread crashing through him as he dropped to his knees beside her.

AlinaHis voice was low, raw with restrained panic as he cupped her face, scanning for any sign of pain.

Boss.Lee’s voice was sharp, but his expression was grim. He pointed toward the mirror.

Lucian’s gaze followed. Smeared across the glass in crimson letters were the words:

She got lucky this timeNext time, she won’t be.
