If it weren’t for Adrian casually throwing her onto a private jet before disappearing with a file in hand, she would have still been stuck in Westra City.

Ella smiled awkwardly.

"Where are we going?" Ruby asked her curiously.

"Just take a nap. You will know once you wake up."

Seeing that she had no intention to reveal it, Ruby sighed.

Ella pulled out her phone and glanced at Adrian’s last text.

Adrian: [Reached?]

A mischievous glint flickered in her eyes as she typed a reply.

"Second Master, Miss Quinn is here to supervise the branch companies under the orders of Chairman Quinn. The affairs of Lilac should also fall under her supervision. Shall we inform her about the current situation?" Ji Yan looked at the man from the rearview mirror.

"No need," Adrian scrolled on his phone screen but even after a few seconds, he did not see a reply to his text from Ella.

Yet, his Second Master didn’t seem to care about it in the slightest despite the years of acquaintance with the Quinn family.

"S-Second Master... This... This..." With trembling hands, Ji Yan offered his phone to Adrian.

Adrian zoomed into the picture of the mass grave. In the picture, one could see half the body of a young boy.

In the hand of the boy, there was a blue colored thin bracelet that was especially eye-catching.

"That was the bracelet you had gifted the First Young Master on his birthday..."

Adrian remained silent but his eyes narrowed subtly.

"Back to Vermilion City."

Ji Yan was stunned. Unexpectedly, his Second Master’s aura seemed to soften slightly when he said that.

When Ruby entered the Eve Mansion, her eyes narrowed slightly.
