Jasper had come to the hospital because the people he sent to keep tabs on Tybalt said he had been showing up there a lot lately.

But he never expected to run into the one person who hadn’t even bothered to appear in his dreams these past few nights.

A surge of shock and excitement washed over him–only to drain away a second later when his face went completely pale.

Claudia was still crouched down, holding Sterling’s hand and refusing to move. Seeing Jasper’s face twist through several shades of emotion, she followed his gaze curiously.

Sterling turned his head too, naturally.

Claudia instantly realized why Jasper’s expression had gone white as a sheet.

Sterling’s lips curled into a smirk.

He helped Claudia up, brushed her clothes lightly, then tapped her stomach and said, “Don’t catch a cold.”

Claudia shot Sterling a look.

But Jasper’s imagination had already gone off the rails.

His lips trembled, and before anyone could react, he lunged forward with a punch.

“Sterling Romero! She’s only 23!”

Images of Sterling dragging Claudia into the OB–GYN against her will filled his mind, and rage poured out of him like fire.

Jasper’s voice burned with fury, each word forced out through clenched teeth.

“You’re forcing her for abortion? What kind of monster are you?”

Sterling quickly pulled Claudia two steps back, easily catching Jasper’s fist with one hand.

“And what exactly gives you the right to meddle in our business, Mr. Fenton? Don’t you think you’re being a bit intrusive?”

Jasper’s arm twisted painfully, but he glared at Sterling, stubborn and shaking.

“Even if we broke up, I’ve been her best friend for over ten years. You’re nothing but a beast. pretending to be human! You wouldn’t know responsibility if it hit you.”

“Responsibility?” Sterling let out a low chuckle.

“Oh? Is that what you called it with Lydia too?”

Jasper stiffened, but Sterling just smiled wider. “Mr. Fenton, you really do have a savior complex.”

He released Jasper’s wrist and gave him a light push back, then leaned down and kissed Claudia on the forehead. Her wide eyes practically screamed, What the hell is going on?

“But what if Claudia just happens to love me? Even if I’m the worst kind of man, she still wouldn’t leave me.”

Jasper ignored the jab, eyes red and wild. He reached out to her instead.

“Claudia, don’t be afraid. Come here.”
