“Jasper was always the heir I put my hopes on. Do you think I want to cut him loose? It breaks my heart.

“But Sterling has already pressured us. What other choice do we have?”

Sylvia had no rebuttal.

Of course she knew they didn’t have a choice. It was just that they never imagined Sterling— known for being cold and ruthless–could actually go this far for a woman.

Still, Jasper was her son. No matter what, she had to fight for his future.

“Whatever the case, William is officially back with the Fentons now. From today onward, he’ll be living here. Jasper must step down from his position as CEO, and William will be taking over,” Tybalt declared. The “William” he mentioned was his illegitimate son, William Fenton.

“You’re basically kicking him out of Fenton Group!” Sylvia glared at him.

“And what do you want me to do? Do you want us to all go down with him?” Tybalt snapped.

Sylvia’s hands clenched tighter. “Jasper is the rightful heir to Fenton Group. He deserves his

share.”

Tybalt sighed. “He can manage the overseas branch from now on. If he wants to start something new on the side, I’ll give him my full support.”

“Dad?”

Jasper’s voice trembled with disbelief.

Sylvia was so furious that she didn’t even notice Jasper’s limp right hand. She slapped him across the face. “I told you to stay away from Claudia. What have you done this time?”

Standing behind her, William gave Jasper a bright, mocking smile. “Welcome home, Jasper.”

In an instant, the whole Fenton residence erupted into chaos.

If Jasper had still been hung up on lost love when he got back, that was long gone now. He couldn’t think about Claudia, Lydia, or anything in the past.

Tybalt’s decision hit him like a lightning strike.

Just a little while ago, he’d crushed Tybalt’s other illegitimate children so completely they barely made a sound. Yet, William had waltzed right in and replaced him.
