So what if you win? So what if you lose? None of it can change the past.

Sylvia grabbed the bottle from his hand again, threw it far away, and slapped him hard across the face.
“Even if Lydia and her mother didn’t exist, you still wouldn’t be good enough for Claudia.”
Jasper’s eyes moved slightly.
Sylvia kept going, her words sharp as a knife. “When Claudia hurt her leg and had to leave the stage, she didn’t fall apart. She stood back up and started again. The Lancasters tried to destroy her, but she still worked hard and made a name for herself. And you? All you do is drink. By the time you were giving up on yourself, she was already miles ahead.
“You’ll spend your whole life watching her move forward. Watch her marry someone else, have kids, and live happily ever after. Even if they got divorced one day, you still won’t have a chance!”
Jasper’s expression changed, his voice tight. “Mom, did you hear something?”
Sylvia looked at him coldly. “Kamila, the eldest daughter of the Lloyds, wants to marry Sterling. Whether she succeeds or not, men like Sterling always have girls chasing after them. With all that temptation, do you really think they’ll stay faithful forever? And Claudia–after all she’s been through with the Lancasters–do you think she enjoys living in that kind of scheming, backstabbing world?”
The Lloyds were far richer than the struggling Lancasters.
Claudia didn’t tolerate any betrayal. After what she went through, if Sterling ever wavered even a little, their relationship would fall apart in an instant.
Sylvia didn’t really know how close they were, but young people are all the same–driven by emotion, caught up in the rush of it all. But once reality hits, those feelings fade fast. In the end, only the things you can actually hold on to–status, money, security–really last.
People from such different worlds shouldn’t be together.
She had met Kamila before.
Just like her aunt, Winnie, she was arrogant, stubborn, and never one to give up easily.

Chapter 315 You Won’t Have a Chance!
Honestly, Sylvia no longer wanted her son to be tied to Claudia. But for now, only one who could get through to him.
Waiting for a tiny chance was still better than watching him destroy himself.
Jasper held his phone tightly as it lit up again, his face dark and serious.

Lately, Claudia had gotten obsessed with Cajun stew, much to Sterling’s frustration.
Every time he tried to stop her from eating it, she’d just look at him with big, sad eyes until he gave in.
He couldn’t say no to her, so he started learning how to make healthier Cajun stew himself.
Romero Manor actually had a chef who was amazing at Cajun cuisine, so Sterling quickly dragged him out to teach him how to make spicy stew and Cajun cuisine.
Of course, he could’ve just asked the chef to cook, but Sterling had grown to love cooking with Claudia. He usually handled most of the cooking, while she stayed nearby, chatting, laughing, and cheering him on.
Unless they were too busy or too tired, they always ended up cooking together in the kitchen, all cozy and clingy.
Besides, once he learned how to do it, Claudia could have Cajun stew anytime she wanted without waiting.
One day, Donovan got hungry and was craving something flavorful. But when he went looking for the chef he’d spent so much effort to hire, he found out Sterling had already taken him.
He called to demand the chef back, but Sterling simply said that Claudia loved Cajun food, so they were keeping the chef.
