Celine and the others stared, eyes wide with shock.
Had they heard that right?
Every word out of Giselle’s mouth was explosive.
Assault.
Pregnancy.
Abortion.
“Are you serious?” Celine pressed, unable to hide the excitement in her eyes.
“It’s true—well, sort of. I mean, I’m not totally sure. But that’s what everyone back home is saying, and since I’m supposed to be her friend, I couldn’t exactly ask her about it myself. But I did see her once, arguing with some older woman. That woman called her a homewrecker, right to her face.”
Giselle glanced around at the group. Their eyes glimmered with barely contained glee.
She could tell these girls were no friends of Sabrina’s. The more she talked, the more animated she became.
“She’s also close with this pair of siblings who live next door—Jenna and Lennox. The three of them are thick as thieves, and honestly, those siblings probably know even more than I do. But I have no idea where they are now. Last I heard, someone sold them off or something. And the guy who... assaulted Sabrina? He’s just some creepy old bachelor. If you really want to know, you could go and ask him. He lives in Cloud Village.”
Giselle paused, racking her brain for any other juicy details she might have forgotten.
Uliana and the others exchanged glances, their delight practically radiating from their faces.
This was huge. Better than they could have hoped for.
“Does she hang out with those lowlifes all the time? And where exactly did it happen with that old creep? Did anyone actually see it?”
“Yeah, she’s always with them. She and the old guy were up in the hills—no one saw it happen. But when Sabrina came down afterward, her jeans were covered in blood...”
Giselle’s voice trailed off, suddenly nervous. Had she gone too far? Was Sabrina going to come after her for all this?
