She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 170

He knew he was in the wrong, so he apologized to Desmond over and over again.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Sutton. My daughter spoke out of turn and said some things about Sabrina she shouldn’t have. I promise I’ll have a serious talk with her later, and I guarantee this won’t happen again.”

Desmond gave a cold snort inwardly. Nice words, but what good were they without real action?

“You know, Sabrina doesn’t handle being wronged very well. She’s still crying in her room, insisting she won’t drop the lawsuit unless Elena apologizes to her in front of the entire school. I can’t talk her out of it. So… what do you think we should do?”

They were both old foxes and understood each other perfectly. Dylan immediately promised, “Don’t worry, Mr. Sutton. I’ll talk to Elena and make sure she apologizes to Sabrina at school tomorrow.”

The next morning.

Elena arrived at school ten minutes earlier than usual.

As soon as she saw Sabrina, Elena said stiffly, “I apologize.”

Thinking about her father’s attitude the night before only made her angrier. She’d been the one slapped, yet she was the one who had to apologize to that witch!

Her tone was curt, her eyes defiant—it was obvious she was being forced into this.

“Oh? Your voice is so quiet. Who can even hear you?” Sabrina replied, her tone mocking.

Elena gritted her teeth. Sabrina was doing this on purpose.

For her allowance, for her designer bag, for new clothes—she’d endure.

She shut her eyes, as if summoning every ounce of willpower, and forced out the words, each syllable bitten off, “I’m. Sorry.”

The moment she finished, she spun on her heel, practically flying away.

Sabrina called after her, her words dripping with meaning, “Is that supposed to be an apology?”

Elena stopped and glared back. “I did what Desmond wanted—I apologized to you.”
