She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 171

The voice on the radio cut off abruptly.

For a moment, everyone just stared at each other in shock. The five students who’d jumped Sabrina at the school gates yesterday had actually apologized.

Sabrina, the girl at the center of it all, hardly seemed to care.

It was the same old story—hurt someone, then try to smooth things over.

But the damage was done.

The apologies only served to show those kids that she wasn’t someone to mess with.

Around the track, clusters of students whispered and gossiped.

Lunch break.

A group of girls caught sight of Marshall out on the basketball court. Each one lit up with excitement, eyes glued to their campus heartthrob.

Their class was due for gym next period, so they didn’t have to head back inside yet.

Marshall looked every bit the star—tall, athletic, arms folded around a basketball, exuding confidence as he moved across the court.

Sabrina watched from a distance, her dark eyes burning with a silent, almost savage hatred.

Lately, Harper Group’s stock had taken a nosedive. Losing the Watson family’s partnership should have rattled Marshall, but here he was, still playing ball as if nothing had happened. Clearly, the fallout hadn’t hit home yet.

He ignored the awestruck glances thrown his way, focused instead on the game with his friends.

Maybe he was used to being the center of attention. Maybe he even liked it. Girls surrounded the court, calling his name, hanging on his every move.

When his gaze slid past the crowd and landed on a heavyset girl from Class 10, his expression soured. If he could have, he would have thrown her out of the stands himself.

She was his number one fan, always sending him gifts through mutual friends and cornering him in the hallways. The only reason he hadn’t confronted her outright was that her father was a police chief and her uncle had ties to the local underworld. People like that were best left alone.

The Harper family wasn’t afraid of anyone, but her uncle was a real piece of work. Marshall simply wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble.
