She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 183

Elena was the hotheaded type. The moment she saw Sabrina stirring up trouble, she was ready to step forward and call her out, but Whitney grabbed her arm just in time.

“Don’t do anything rash. Be careful, or she’ll take back her offer.”

Elena froze, unwilling to go any farther.

Whitney was right—a single person getting punished was better than all five of them taking the fall together.

Celine’s eyes swept over her friends, disappointment tightening her chest. Not one of them spoke up for her.

These were supposed to be her best friends.

But when she was in trouble, they just abandoned her.

The pain was sharp, twisting inside her.

Their indifference.

Their coldness.

Celine saw it all.

They hovered around her when things were easy, but now, every one of them was edging away, desperate not to get involved.

Then, Uliana spoke up.

“We’re in this together. The bet was all of ours—no way should she be left to face the consequences alone.”

Uliana only said it because she didn’t want to see the last bits of their friendship crumble to nothing. She knew Celine wouldn’t take the hit for them, and deep down, she knew none of them would actually abandon her. Rather than drag things out and make it even more humiliating, it was better just to accept the forfeit and get it over with.

Celine was furious, silently cursing Uliana for opening her big mouth. They’d already barked like dogs; she hadn’t really planned on making anyone streak across campus. This was a school, not a beach. Even if the others stripped down, would anyone really dare to stare? She wasn’t about to make a fool of herself like that. If anyone was going to be running naked, it sure as hell wasn’t going to be her. No way Sabrina could force her.

Uliana might have sounded bold, but when it came down to it, she hesitated just like the rest of them. The girls exchanged uneasy glances, none of them willing to take the first step.

Sabrina just watched them, looking perfectly calm and relaxed.

Uliana glanced around.

Damn it, the place was packed. The hallways, the classroom windows—everywhere, people were crowded in, clearly waiting to see if they’d actually go through with it.
