Crowncrest City.
Sabrina repeated the name silently to herself.
That’s where Stella’s family lived—a city even more prosperous and affluent than Port City.
If she ever got the chance, she’d love to visit it, too.
“Looks like you’ve already made plans,” someone remarked.
“Not really. It’s just an idea for now. Even if I do go, it’ll have to wait a year or two. I have to get my business up and running in Crowncrest first. Without that, I’d be living on nothing.”
“Fair enough.”
“And when the time comes, you should come to Crowncrest for university. Then we’ll get to see each other all the time.”
That suggestion actually sounded possible.
She’d never really considered it before. For the past year, all she’d thought about was settling the score with her enemies.
After lunch, Yvette started begging to go to the park—and insisted that Lennox come along.
Faye couldn’t say no, so she ended up taking both kids out for some fresh air.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Cyrus and Liana were in the midst of a heated argument.
A few days earlier, Cyrus had discovered that Liana was connected to Yvette’s disappearance. When he learned she’d sold Yvette on the black market, he was so furious he could barely stop himself from throttling her right then and there.
But because of the Stone family’s status, he held himself back and instead demanded a divorce.
Liana refused, no matter how much he insisted.
So Cyrus filed for divorce on his own, citing irreconcilable differences.
Liana still wouldn’t accept it. She threw fits and screamed at home, refusing to let go.
To her, Cyrus was everything—her whole world. The thought of losing him sent her spiraling, talking to herself, acting half-crazed.
The crushing pressure only made her depression and mood swings worse.
