She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 187

Faye crouched down beside Yvette, her voice gentle and reassuring. “Almost there, sweetheart. They’re on their way.”

Yvette was still in counseling, but she was doing much better these days—she even smiled often now.

Lennox had become her closest companion; the two were about the same age.

At first, Yvette wouldn’t speak to anyone. But after meeting Lennox, who could talk anyone’s ear off, she gradually came out of her shell. Now, she sought out Lennox to play with every day.

To help with Yvette’s recovery, Faye decided to invite Lennox and his sister to stay with them for a while.

Yvette glanced up, about to say something, but as soon as she caught Sabrina’s gaze, she hesitated, her mouth opening and closing as if struggling for words.

“Um… Sabrina, I…” The little girl stammered, staring down at her shoes.

Sabrina knelt to meet her eye level and gently ruffled her hair. “What is it, Yvette? Did you want to tell me something?”

Yvette didn’t answer. Instead, she darted away.

Less than a minute later, she came running back, clutching a folded piece of paper in both hands. Without ever meeting Sabrina’s eyes, she held it out, cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

“This is for you.”

“For me?” Sabrina blinked in surprise.

She hadn’t expected such a small gesture from Yvette—let alone a gift.

Delighted and a little moved, she accepted the paper. “Thank you, Yvette.”

Sabrina unfolded it. The drawing was simple but heartfelt: three adults and two children, all together in a warm, family scene.

She instantly recognized everyone in the picture.

“Yvette, this is wonderful,” she said sincerely.

Yvette beamed, clearly pleased that Sabrina had accepted her gift—and even praised her for it.
