She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 21

On the third day, Sabrina headed out once again.

Her excuse was the same as before—she was going shopping.

Nick dropped her off at the entrance to the mall and then drove off to find a place to park.

Before getting out, Sabrina told him there was no need to wait for her; she’d be home late, and he should do whatever he wanted with his evening.

Once Nick saw Sabrina disappear into the mall, he pulled away.

But Sabrina didn’t stay. She slipped out through the rear exit, hailed a cab, and set off straight for Siren’s Club—the most notorious casino in town.

Before coming, she’d rented a cocktail dress for the occasion, which cost her nearly two hundred dollars. Add in the entrance fee for Siren’s Club, and she’d maxed out her new credit card before the night even began.

She’d applied for that card just yesterday, opening an account at the bank. At first, the manager seemed reluctant, but as soon as she mentioned she was Desmond’s daughter, the process moved along without a hitch.

She had no other choice. Right now, Sabrina was flat broke.

But she was determined to gamble.

She needed money, desperately.

Without money, she couldn’t do anything—let alone get her revenge.

If she wanted to make a lot of cash fast, gambling was the only way.

Getting Desmond to cough up money would be nearly impossible. She needed funds to keep her plans moving, and she couldn’t afford to wait any longer.

This was the only option left to her, given her current circumstances.

Ever since she’d returned to the Sutton family estate, she’d shut herself in her room, practicing card tricks for hours on end—just for tonight.

Everyone who came to Siren’s Club belonged to the city’s elite.

Put simply, the place reeked of money.

She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of anticipation.

Outside, dusk settled over the city, and dark clouds began to gather. The streets were teeming with people now, a stark contrast to the quiet of the afternoon.

Siren’s Club glowed beneath its dazzling lights.

A row of luxury cars lined the curb out front, and every person who stepped out of them looked like they belonged on the cover of a business magazine.

The owners of those cars had their own private VIP entrances.

Sabrina, without a chauffeur or a flashy car, walked right in through the main doors.

After she registered her details at the reception, an attendant led her through the bustling halls and into a private lounge.

“Welcome, everyone, to the Siren’s Club Tournament. I’m Celia Knight.”

“Hey there, ladies and gentlemen! I’m Xander Knight,” the man added, waving to the crowd with a charming smile.

The pair began explaining the rules of the night’s main event.

Most of the regulars didn’t need the explanation; they’d played this game before.

From somewhere in the crowd, a whistle sounded, followed by shouts urging them to get started already.

In this place, you could win anything—power, money, even love—if you were willing to take the risk.

The wealthy were here for the thrill.

The desperate, hoping for a miracle.

Everyone had their own reasons.

Some would walk away rich, others would lose everything—even their lives.

One thing was certain: this was not a game for the faint of heart.

Sabrina drew the curtain aside in her private lounge, giving herself a clear view of the action outside. From here, she could see everything, but no one could see her.
