Octavia reached out and gently brushed her hand. “Does it hurt?” she asked softly.

Sabrina shook her head. “It doesn’t.”

Octavia held her granddaughter’s hand, her heart aching.

It was only her second day back, and already she could see that Sabrina wasn’t being treated well in the Sutton family.

Sommer’s attitude toward her two other granddaughters was completely different from how she treated Sabrina.
