She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 305

Meanwhile—

Hester had no idea that Octavia had regained consciousness.

She was busy plotting with Hector, the two of them scheming to frame Sabrina once again. Their plan was simple: once the new school year began in a week, they’d lure Sabrina out on some pretext. After that, it would be up to them whether she lived or died. They’d already mapped out her path to ruin, every detail in place.

With this newfound confidence, Hester arrived at the hospital in unusually high spirits.

Even in the sweltering summer heat, she wore long sleeves to hide the burn scars on her arms. She planned to seek treatment for them abroad—after she dealt with Sabrina.

Today was the day Sommer and Octavia were being discharged, so Hester arrived at the hospital early.

Everything seemed normal.

Thanks to the treatments, Sommer’s burns were healing, though the new skin still looked unsettling. Privately, she and Sommer had already acknowledged each other as mother and daughter, so now Sommer clung to Hester’s left hand and Celine’s right.

Sabrina, meanwhile, was left on the sidelines.

She had already collected strands of hair from Celine, Hester, and Sommer—only Desmond’s remained. Once she had it, she would have the paternity test redone.

After Octavia was wheeled out, Sabrina joined her in one car, while Hester and Celine accompanied Sommer in another.

They might have looked like a family, but the bonds between them were paper-thin.

Back at Sutton Manor—

Octavia and Sommer retreated to their rooms to rest, as usual.

Sabrina called out to Hester and Celine, reminding them to join everyone for dinner and not to wander off. They assumed it was a celebration for their grandmother and mother’s recovery and readily agreed, their faces bright with anticipation, before heading off to rest themselves. No one had gotten much sleep lately, and being home was the perfect excuse for a nap.

But Sabrina’s real plan was to wait for Desmond’s return. A scene this dramatic wouldn’t be complete without him.

. . .

That night—

Stars twinkled above as Sutton Manor blazed with light. The staff bustled through the halls, preparing for the family dinner. Though it was just the immediate family, the meal meant far more than that: the lady of the house had returned in good health, and that called for a celebration.
