She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 309

A few men sat slouched around a battered table ahead of her, dealing cards in a lazy game. Hester recognized them immediately—they were the same ones who had forced her into the car last night.

The moment they saw her stirring, the men tossed their cards aside, their faces splitting into wicked grins as they turned their attention to her.

“What do you want from me? Let me go right now, or my boyfriend will make sure you regret it!” Hester tried to sound bold, forcing herself to stay calm, even though her heart raced. She had no idea who these men were.

One of them sneered, his voice dripping with menace. “You’re already our prisoner and you still have the nerve to threaten us? I don’t care who your boyfriend is. Now that you’re in our hands, no one’s coming to save you.”

A shiver ran down Hester’s spine.

If threats didn’t work, maybe pleading would. Tears welled up in her eyes and rolled down her cheeks as she switched tactics.

“I don’t even know who you are or why you’re doing this. I’m just an ordinary woman—I don’t have any money. If you let me go, my boyfriend can pay you whatever you want. Please, just let me go.”

The men only laughed harder, mocking her desperation. To them, her pleas were nothing but a joke—she was far past the point of bargaining for her freedom.

“Your boyfriend? Do you think we’re idiots? Don’t waste your breath on tricks like that.”

One of the men gave her a long, slow once-over, lips curling as he leaned toward another. “What a shame to let a beauty like this go to waste. Maybe we should have a little fun with her first, huh?”

The tattooed man sitting at the head of the table shot him a cold glare. Instantly, the rest fell silent.

“Don’t get any stupid ideas,” the tattooed man barked. “Just because there’s a woman here doesn’t mean you all get to act like animals. Anyone who tries anything will answer to me, and I’ll make sure you regret it.”

His words sucked the last traces of bravado out of the room. The warehouse grew even quieter.

Panic twisted tighter in Hester’s chest. If they weren’t after money, and they weren’t after her body—then what did they want? Were they here to kill her?

The thought chilled her to the bone. She felt utterly helpless, as if her world had been shattered and her freedom stolen away.

Forcing herself to speak, she broke the uneasy silence. “What… what do you want from me?” Her voice trembled.

The tattooed man leaned back in his chair, crossing his legs, as one of his men handed him a cigarette and a lighter. He took a slow drag, exhaled a thin stream of smoke, and looked at her with a smirk.
