She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 308

She hurried upstairs, claiming she wasn’t feeling well. As soon as she reached her room, she dialed her brother, Yosef Lynn.

Celine followed her up.

Something about tonight felt off. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but the whole situation with Hester and Octavia didn’t add up. Hester had tried to harm Octavia—she was found guilty. And yet, all that happened was she got kicked out of the Sutton family. That was it.

Even more bizarre—Sabrina had only slapped Hester twice. Throughout the entire ordeal, Sabrina barely said a word. Since when did she become so merciful? That wasn’t like her at all. Sabrina had always been the type never to let a grudge go unanswered.

It was all too strange.

But, Celine thought, Hester being gone was good news for her. Could they really just let Hester off so easily? Not a chance. Celine’s lips curled with scheming satisfaction. She’d make sure that bitch suffered out there, so Hester would know just what it cost to go after Marshall.

Meanwhile, outside Sutton Manor, Hester shot a vicious glare at the old family name carved above the gate, then spat at it.

“Old witch. My mother will make sure you pay, just you wait. I’ll be back soon enough.”

With that, she turned away, pulled out her phone, and dialed Hector.

Little did she know, Sabrina had eyes on her every move.

Hector didn’t answer. Hester had no choice but to start walking down the road.

Her only option was to find Hector and hope he would take her in.

She was still in high heels, struggling down the hard sloping asphalt away from the manor. Sutton Manor sat halfway up the hill, which meant she had quite a walk ahead of her if she wanted to get anywhere.

She tried calling a ride, but no drivers responded. It was nearly impossible to get a car up here at night.

Ten minutes later, a group of burly men appeared ahead, walking toward her.

“Hey, gorgeous, all by yourself? Where you headed? Want a ride?” One of them stepped forward with a sleazy grin.

Normally, Hester wouldn’t have given these guys the time of day. But right now, she was exhausted, and there weren’t any better options.

She eyed the group—five or six of them—and frowned. “Is that your car up ahead?”

“Yeah, that’s ours. Need a lift down the hill?”
