She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 39

Five days later, a text message popped up on her phone.

Sabrina read the message and smiled, utterly satisfied.

Her first batch of revenge funds had arrived.

Three hundred million.

She finished counting the string of zeroes, and then an unfamiliar number started calling.

She pressed “accept.” A sweet voice greeted her on the other end.

“Ms. Sutton, did you receive the money?”

“The paperwork for the Pagoda Peak property is already underway. If all goes well, everything will be finalized by tomorrow. I’ll make sure the deed is signed over to you. When it’s ready, you can pick it up at Siren’s Club.”

Sabrina’s mood soared—how could it not? In just five days, she’d pocketed three hundred million and scored a piece of prime real estate. Money really could make anything happen.

Her enemies all lived at the top of the world. If she wanted to drag them down, she needed to fight on their turf—and that meant power, and power meant cash.

“Samuel keeps his promises,” she replied. “Tell him I’ll deliver the information he wants as soon as possible.”

“Of course, Ms. Sutton. I’ll let Samuel know. It’s a pleasure doing business with you.”

After hanging up, Sabrina called for Nick to drive her out.

They pulled up in front of a gated mansion. The main entrance was locked tight.

She waited. The sun dipped low, and dusk crept in.

Only then did Sabrina slip quietly over the back wall and crouch in the shadows.

She’d been staking out the place for days. Sure, she could’ve just given Samuel the tip and let him swoop in—but a deal was a deal. She’d accepted that fortune a little too easily, and she owed him proof.

It wasn’t long before the front gate swung open.

Sabrina’s eyes flashed with anticipation.

Finally.
