She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 82

“That’s not exactly fair to say. Who doesn’t like money? It’s just that Samuel isn’t interested in the kind of pocket change I have.”

Samuel gave a lazy grin. “Not gonna lie, I’m actually pretty hungry. Can you leave now?”

It wasn’t even close to the end of school yet. As much as he wanted to share a meal with her, he didn’t want her skipping class on his account.

“Sure. You know Port City better than I do—pick a place.”

Samuel was in an unusually good mood today, and Sabrina didn’t bother pretending otherwise. Making friends with people like Samuel could only work in her favor.

See? When it came down to it, he was willing to help.

“Alright, but I have to ask—how are you not angry about what happened today? If someone talked about me like that, I’d have knocked their teeth in.”

She couldn’t help adding, “Some people really just have it coming.”

Sabrina just smiled. “Get angry? What good would that do? I already taught them a lesson with my fists. If it happens again, I’ll do it again. After a few rounds, they’ll learn to behave.”

Samuel threw his head back and laughed. “You’ve got guts. Reminds me of myself at your age—never one to take crap from anyone. Good. Weakness only invites trouble.”

He almost blurted out that she should just be his goddaughter, but stopped himself. They weren’t quite close enough yet. No need to scare the girl off so soon. It was better to ease into things.

After dinner, Samuel drove Sabrina back to the villa.

Every time she came home, Sabrina rarely lingered in the living room. She usually went straight to her bedroom—her world consisted of her room, the dining area, and the back garden. She hardly ever ventured anywhere else.

As she passed through the living room, Sabrina didn’t even glance at the people inside and headed straight upstairs.

A shout cracked through the silence behind her. “Stop right there!”

She turned, face expressionless. “What is it?”
