She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 84

Normally, Celine was always the last one up in the morning, so it was a surprise to see her awake so early today.

She didn’t waste a second—she finished her breakfast at record speed.

No sooner had she set down her fork than her mother walked into the dining room. “Sweetheart, did you get enough to eat?”

“I did, Mom. School’s rehearsing for a show, so I have to be there early.”

Sommer gently cupped her daughter’s cheek, a look of fondness tinged with concern in her eyes. “You always work so hard, darling.”

“Mom, I’m heading out. See you later!”

“Alright, take your time—watch your step.”

The family’s driver, Nick, was already waiting in the driveway. He always arrived at least ten minutes early to be sure he was never late.

As soon as Celine climbed into the car, she snapped, “Let’s go, Nick. I’m in a hurry.”

Nick hesitated for a moment. “Miss, Sabrina hasn’t come down yet.”

If he took Celine now, Sabrina would miss her ride, and it would be at least an hour before he could come back for her.

Celine’s expression soured instantly, her annoyance written all over her face.

How dare a servant question her decision? She’d always gotten her way—no one ever contradicted her, especially not the help.

Did Nick really think Sabrina was the true Sutton heiress? She was just a foster child. And now even the staff dared to overstep their bounds?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got.

She forced herself to keep her composure. “Do I need to get my mother to give you permission before you’ll drive?”

Her tone left no doubt she was furious.

Nick knew better than to argue; he couldn’t afford to offend anyone in the Sutton family. “Of course, Miss Celine. I’ll leave right away.”

At the front door, Martha watched the car speed off.

She felt bad for Sabrina, but as a maid, there wasn’t anything she could say.
