Amelia’s pov
I try to pretend that I am bored of his words, that they did not affect me in the slightest, and push him away, dusting off the imaginary dust on my clothes while glaring at him.
“You’re getting a bit bold now huh ” I harsh out.
He shrugged. “Maybe it’s cause I can’t hold my want for you any longer spitfire.”
I narrowed my eyes and whipped around, walking away as I snorted over my shoulder. “What’s the saying? The bad boys always want what they can’t have. I should warn you, I’m not exactly a good girl.”
“I like myself a bad girl,” he said way too close to me.” And you’re a very very bad girl spitfire and I assure you I can handle
you.” He said amused which ticked me off.
“Well too bad I won’t let you handle me because I won’t give in. Might want to crawl back to your girl Dayna.” I sneered over my shoulder and gasp when I felt long fingers wrap around my arm and tugged me around.
Our chests pressed as I am pulled to him, the harshness of our breaths rowing through the air and battling each other. He stares deep into my soul. “It may not seem sincere to you Amelia, but I am honest. I don’t know why, or how it started, but I have this burning desire for you that I can’t stop.”
My heart rams in my ribcage,
The butterflies flutter wildly.
Shit.
He has entrapped me in those pools once more. “And here I thought you said you want to be my friend.” I breathed out, reminding him of his words when we first met. His intention as he had mentioned, was to be friendly.
His eyes flickered down to my lips. “Sorry. I had forgotten to say boy before that word ” The sincerity in his voice shook me and I stumble out of his hold, completely taken aback
I shook my head, not understanding why he was affecting me this much. This wasn’t the first time a cute guy flirted with me But Raiden, something was different.
Pull yourself together Amelia Raiden is bad news
Turning around I said over my shoulder softly “Too bad you won’t be either Now can we go or should I call an Uber?”
I had to focus tonight And this six–foot hot bully wasn’t helping
“Wait here, I forgot my keys I’ll go back to fetch them “He said behind me, already running back to the house before I could respond When he came back a couple of minutes later, I noticed that something had changed and his aura had become dangerous
Raiden’s pov
I knew it wouldn’t be easy to break those walls Amelia has up but I had every intention to not give up. There was something about that little human that intrigued me, and even more now so that I just found out she’s Giovanni’s daughter which makes
her Damon’s cousin
It feels a little off that I did not know he had a daughter at all I can’t put my finger on it but something about it doesn’t quite make much sense I could tell my parents were hiding something from me and I would have to question them about it
As I opened the door and stepped into the foyer, my footsteps slowed down when I heard Amelia’s name being brought up.
“She has a bit of resemblance to him. There’s no doubt he’s her dad,” Mom says faintly.
“I agree,” dad chimed in. “She does look like Sirus.”
I take a step forward, trying to see them but my elbow ends up hitting a blue vase that had been sitting on the table. I grab it before it could fal!
“Son?” Dad called out to me, already knowing I was there
“Yeah, I forgot my keys. “I cleared my throat, walking into the dining room and picking up the keys I had left on the table
Dad had that stern look that told me he knew I had eavesdropped on their conversation Not being able to hold it in, I turn to Mom Is Amelia really Sirus’s daughter?”
Mom flinched and nodded. “She is ”
“Sirus the council leader?”
She nods once more, wincing “We had to-
I chuckled dryly “You entered the daughter of a man who made us go through hell?” I fisted the keys in my hand brutally And luding the truth from her?”
Mom and dad both flinched, even Rayne who had been quietly listening to them talk looks uncomfortable. “I can’t even deal with this right now,” I shook my head as I backed away, turning on my heel to head outside.
“Raiden-
Mom called out softly but I didn’t respond and thankfully dad tells her she should leave me alone. I stormed out of the house,
startling Amelia who stood waiting for me.
As I stared at her, I couldn’t stop seeing the bastard who taunted me, and made me fear for the first time in my life. The man who promised to harm my entire family and let me help bury their corpse. I can still remember everything like it had happened just yesterday. And it angered me. It angered me so much because I knew….I could never look at Amelia the same again.
