Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 462

Chapter 462

Under normal circumstances, Sharon wouldn’t make decisions on Ginny’s behalf.

But they had known each other for years and understood one another deeply. The fact that Ginny hadn’t spoken meant she was leaving the decision to Sharon.

Back when their quartet was first formed, Ginny had always been the most composed and empathetic among them. If Sharon asked, Ginny would likely agree to help Kelly out of respect for her.

Ginny didn’t want Sharon to offend Carter or Kelly over this, risking retaliation. Still, if Sharon genuinely disliked Kelly and refused to speak on her behalf, Ginny would never offer her help either.

The choice was Sharon’s to make.

Sharon frowned, and she didn’t bother being polite.

“Do you two just enjoy stealing from me? First you stole my mother’s belongings, then my opportunity to meet Maestro Warner, and then my studio. And now, you want to steal my guest performer, too?

“What’s next? Kelly, do you fancy everything I touch? Are you so spiritually in sync with me that you must claim whatever I value?”

Kelly interjected, “Sharon, you’ve misunderstood. I didn’t know Ms. Blakely was your guest performer. I just wanted to invite a fellow alumna to lend her support.”

Sharon shot her a glance. “Well, now that you do know, why are you still trying to poach her?”

Kelly lowered her gaze, veiling whatever flickered in her eyes.

“Sharon, I’m not trying to steal her. As Carter said, you come first. We only hoped she might help out if she had the time.”

Sharon sneered, “I asked Ginny because she’s my friend. And you-what gives you the right to ask her for anything? Is it because you’re rich and powerful? Do you think she lacks those things?

“Or is it because you think she owes you something? How much do you think your favor is worth to her? Does she even need it? Or perhaps-”

She turned to Carter. “You’re just shameless enough?”

A flicker of emotion passed through Carter’s eyes, but he said nothing.

Kelly was stung by the open challenge in Sharon’s gaze.

Why should a woman like Ginny-cultured, refined, born into wealth-choose to be friends with Sharon instead of her?

She couldn’t hold back. “Sharon, I know you dislike me. I-”

She had barely begun when Sharon slammed her palm on the table with a sharp bang, cutting Kelly off.

She looked at Kelly coldly, no longer bothering with politeness.

“Since you know I can’t stand you, you should have enough self-awareness to keep your distance. I’m not a man. You can stop playing your little pity act.”

Kelly hadn’t expected Sharon to tear off the facade so abruptly, not giving her even a shred of dignity.

Such behavior was not what one would expect from a “cultured” woman.

Instinctively, she looked to Ginny, hoping to find signs of disapproval on her face.

But instead of disdain, there was a deepening smile in Ginny’s eyes-a look of quiet, unshakable support.

In that moment, Kelly’s heart sank.

If Ginny truly was Sharon’s friend, then with the way things currently stood between her and Sharon, she had no chance at all.

Sharon then turned to Carter. “Carter, instead of wasting time scheming against me, why don’t you go find someone else to be your guest performer? Don’t even think about taking anything else from me. This time, I won’t back down.” T

With that, she exchanged a look with Ginny, and the two of them left together.
