Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 467

Chapter 467

Nate still didn’t understand what was going on. “Ginny? You mean the Blakely family’s eldest daughter? There’s no way she knows Sharon. Kelly, you must be mistaken.”

Kelly replied, “If Sharon hadn’t shown up with Ginny to meet me and Carter, I wouldn’t have believed it either. But it’s true. They know each other.”

The certainty in her tone left Nate no room to argue. He shook his head, struggling to make sense of it. “If Ginny would go that far to help Sharon, do you think maybe Sharon has something on her?” 11

Kelly secretly cursed Nate for his stupidity. “You think someone like Sharon could threaten Ginny Blakely?”

Nate scratched his head. Yeah, that was a stretch.

Then a thought lit up in his eyes. “What if Sharon saved Ginny’s life once, and maybe she’s repaying that?”

Kelly’s gaze flickered slightly.

That, at least, sounded plausible.

She would rather believe Sharon had saved Ginny’s life than accept the idea that Sharon could be on Ginny’s level-that she might actually belong to the same prestigious circle.

She turned her eyes sadly to Carter, who had remained quiet this whole time. 1

“Carter, it’s one thing if we can’t get Ginny to accept the invitation. But now the other two have turned us down as well…

“It’s not just that they won’t help me, Ginny is already promoting Sharon’s concert. With her influence, who would still come to mine?”

Nate’s face darkened with anger. “That Sharon! What a snake! It’s bad enough she scheduled her concert for the same time, but now she’s stolen your guest performers too? She’s doing this on purpose. She doesn’t want you to succeed!”

He turned to Carter, his voice rising. “Carter, why are we still playing nice with her? Go talk to Rick and use that favor he owes you! I refuse to believe Ginny would turn down the Kalen family. She wouldn’t dare disrespect her own fiancé.”

Kelly’s eyes shimmered slightly at the mention of Rick.

She had heard about the favor Rick owed Carter.

Before now, she hadn’t intended to use it. She’d been saving it for after she married Carter. She was hoping to use that connection to get closer to Victoria, the Kalen family’s heiress.

But now? Now, Sharon had publicly outshone her.

That, she couldn’t tolerate.

If burning that favor meant pulling Sharon down a peg, it was worth it.

Her eyes drifted toward Carter. She knew if she wanted him to use it, she’d have to light the match herself.

The next day, Sharon received a call from Kelly.

“Sharon, about the performance I mentioned earlier, the rehearsal is scheduled for tonight. Are you coming?”

Sharon had been so immersed in planning the upcoming concert with Ginny and the others that she’d nearly forgotten all about

But Kelly’s reminder brought it back in a rush.

The concert was still more than three months away. She couldn’t just coast until then.

Unlike Ginny and the others-or even John-she was starting from scratch.

Getting the three of them involved had taken all the social capital she had to offer. But goodwill doesn’t last forever. She’d have to prove herself.

With that thought in mind, she gave her answer without hesitation.

“Of course.”
