Chapter 557
Casey rose to her feet. “They’re upstairs. I’ll take you to them.”
“Thank you,” Thomas replied.
She led him up the stairs to find Sharon and Wendy. Along the way, Casey kept glancing at the man beside her.
His looks were so exceptional that even in the entertainment industry, he would rank among the top.
However…
He didn’t seem like the type who studied music.
Musicians often carried an intangible artistic aura. But with him, she couldn’t feel any of it.
As they approached Sharon’s rehearsal room, the sound of a violin drifted out. It was one of Sharon’s original compositions, Starry Night.
They planned to feature it as the finale in their upcoming performance, and Sharon had been practicing it often lately.
Casey raised her hand to knock, but Thomas stopped her gently.
“Let her finish the piece. I’m in no rush.”
She glanced at him, then nodded.
Starry Night had a similar style to First Love-both calm, soothing compositions that had the power to cleanse the soul and ease the mind.
Though Thomas rarely found himself moved by music, he was unexpectedly captivated.
He had to admit that Sharon’s talent was truly remarkable.
She was on a completely different level from Kelly. It was no wonder Kelly’s envy had twisted her so much that she couldn’t rest until Sharon was out of the picture.
In fact, Sharon played with more brilliance than many of the violinists he had once invited to perform for him.
Contrary to Kelly’s accusations, Sharon was no amateur mimicking originality-anyone with a decent ear could tell. Even someone like him, who wasn’t formally trained in music, could feel the depth of her skill.
Listening to her was a genuine pleasure.
As the music gradually came to a close, Thomas found himself reluctant for it to end.
Aside from First Love, no other piece had ever truly caught his interest-until now.
Once the piece ended, Casey knocked and opened the door.
“Sharon, there’s a gentleman here who says he’s come to work with us.”
Sharon and Wendy looked over and saw that it was Thomas.
Wendy asked, “Thomas, do you know how to play any of the instruments we have here?”
Thomas shook his head. “I don’t remember.”
“Why not try a few?” Wendy suggested. “Who knows, you might be good at some. If there’s one you excel at, you could officially join our music team. We’re still looking for more members.”

Thomas scanned the room, eyes sweeping over the various instruments before settling on the violin in Sharon’s hands.
“That violin is beautiful. May I try it?”
Before Sharon could respond, Wendy quickly interjected, “I’m afraid that’s not possible. That violin was left to Sharon by her mother. It’s incredibly precious-both in value and in meaning. It just came back from a maintenance session and is meant to be used in our next concert. I hope you understand, it can’t be loaned out.”
Thomas didn’t seem the least bit offended. Instead, he offered a polite smile.
“I see. My apologies. I was being presumptuous.”
Wendy’s impression of Thomas was growing increasingly positive. He had clear boundaries, spoke with courtesy, and didn’t let his good looks get to his head. His emotions were calm, his temperament steady. There was nothing off-putting about him at all.
A man who knew how to conduct himself like this—she had no issue letting him stay, at least until his memory returned.
“There are other violins here,” Wendy said. “Feel free to try any of them.”
But Thomas looked straight at Sharon.
“Sharon, would you be willing to play First Love for me… using that violin?”
