Side Chick Era Over (Sharon and Carter) novel Chapter 752

Chapter 752

Abigail’s motives weren’t hard to understand. But feeding off someone else’s suffering- profiting from another’s blood-was far harder to stomach.

At the thought of it, Wendy’s anger flared again.

“During rehearsals, you guided her so patiently. You even gave her a violin! She didn’t thank you, fine-but to repay kindness with betrayal? How can anyone be this shameless?”

Abigail didn’t come from a wealthy family. The violin she used was cheap, poor in quality, and unable to bring out her strengths.

Sharon had noticed her potential and her passion for the instrument. Since they were partners, Sharon decided to help her by choosing a violin that matched her style and

allowed her to shine.

And in the end, Abigail turned around and bit the hand that fed her.

“Have you contacted the organizers yet?” Sharon asked.

Wendy nodded. “Yes. I’ve already explained the situation to the production team.”

“What did they say?”

“They promised to clear things up quickly. An official clarification carries far more weight than anything we say ourselves. But whether people will actually believe it… especially with public opinion being manipulated… that’s another matter.”

Sharon’s expression stayed calm. “It doesn’t matter. I’ve never relied on popularity or hype. Wendy, you don’t need to worry about what people say.”

Wendy let out a soft sigh. “I know.”

Sharon had already suffered so much. All Wendy wanted was to protect her from any stain, any scandal. Yet fate never seemed to grant such peace.

After talking for a while, Wendy finally left. She still had to deal with the firestorm online.

Plenty of malicious trolls were twisting the truth, trying to force Sharon out of the

competition.

Wendy clenched her fists. She would fight them to the end.

When Sharon returned to the ward, Thomas was awake, much to her surprise.

She hurried to his bedside. “Thomas, you’re awake! How do you feel? Any discomfort?”

His voice was rough from sleep. “I’m fine.”

Sharon quickly poured a glass of water and handed it to him. “Here, drink this.”

Thomas took it. “Thank you.”

He drained the glass in moments.

“Do you want more?” she asked, taking the empty cup.

He shook his head. “No. I heard everything just now.”

Sharon’s eyes flicked to the television mounted on the wall. Abigail was still sniffling into the cameras, and journalists were surrounding her with sympathetic faces, their voices thick with outrage against Sharon.

She shifted her gaze away. “It’s just noise. I don’t care about any of it.”

Thomas’s eyes dropped to her bandaged hand. “Your hand is injured.”

“It’s fine,” Sharon replied. “Even with this, I can still win. Once I get some medicine from Uriah, my hand should be fully healed in time for the finals.”

Though the injury wasn’t serious, it still posed some risk for the competition. But Sharon’s violin skills were top-notch. Injured or not, the championship was still within reach.

Chapter 752

Thomas suddenly asked, “Can you defeat Kelly?”

Sharon smiled. “Of course.”

Her answer came without the slightest hesitation.

Thomas’s gaze shifted back to the news broadcast on the television. “If you hadn’t saved me, you wouldn’t be injured. Your performance wouldn’t be compromised. Right now, you’re at the peak of your career-envy runs deep among your competitors. They may very well unite to pressure the organizers into disqualifying you.”

A flicker of acknowledgment passed through Sharon’s eyes. Thomas’s perception was, as always, frighteningly sharp-he had anticipated a threat even she hadn’t fully considered.

Yet Sharon’s resolve did not waver. “Then let them try. If they disqualify me, so be it.”
