Kai’s pov

After me and Betty was done eating at the Molly’s, I drove her home and made sure she promised that she will call me when she was heading to school tomorrow.

I don’t want her to walk around with those injuries she already have! It was tearing me apart to let her go back home. But she was so adamant on it, I think she have it in her mind that this Victor guy can hurt us.

I know she have not seen us work, if she had she would not be worried about us. But bless her heart. I have to get the green light from our boss to get her out of there. I can’t have my little sunshine live in that hell anymore! I will have to call him when I get back home.

I still can’t get the sight of Betty’s upper body out of my head, the pain she must be in! I could see it on her face every time we hugged her, she bite her inside of her chin.

I love that girl to death and I wish I can take away all her pain. Hearing how they was abusing her I saw red, then hearing how he was raping her and then also selling her.

Man I’m ready to burn the world down for her! She saved my life and have been the highlight of every day we are together with her. Those days we can’t be with her, it’s like something is missing.

I parked my car at home and walked inside. I honestly was not expecting to see my closest team all just sulking in the living room. But I guess the big bomb Betty dropped today have been a hard pill to swallow.

When Christian saw me entering the living room he rise to his feet walking over to me. “Kai, we can’t let Betty stay there! They will end up killing her!” he was half shouting his voiced laced with worry.

“Kai, I can’t see my little Bunny like that! It hurts too much!” Sofia was tearing up! I have never seen these guys cry ever before and Sofia always show what kind of badass woman she is, but she too have a soft heart

for Betty.

“I know guys, I will call the boss and ask how we best can help her!” They all nodded their head and I pulled out my phone dialed my boss, the Don of the American mafia.

Rex Vitorio’s pov

I’m currently sitting in my office going through a bunch of paperwork, sipping on a glass of whiskey. I felt the burning sensation in the back of my throat. My dad, and the second and third eldest brothers of mine was in here with me while we were going through the paperwork together.

We had a shipment of guns coming in from Mexico in a few days. “Have you gotten a confirmation from Diego.about the shipment?” Luca asked while looking up at me with a raised eyebrow.

“Yeah, I talked to him earlier today, he said it was on the way and would land in two days.” I said without looking up from the papers I’m currently looking at. “Good glad we can get a…” Leo got cut off from what he was saying when my phone started to ring.

Chapter 10.

I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Kai who was the leader of the branch in California. I furrow my eyebrows because it’s very rarely they call reporting any problems.

“Who is it?” dad asked questionable. “It’s Kai from California branch.” I said before I answered.

Rex “Hello Kai‘ 1 said sternly.

Kai “Hello Don, I’m sorry for calling so late but I have a issue here I need some advice on how to take care of. He say carefully.

Rex “Is everything okay with the branch?” I asked.

Kai – “Yes Don, I’m sorry but this is more of a private matter.” He keep the careful approach. I know Kai can handle himself just fine, and he is one of the best man we have, so that he ask for help it must be something serious.

Rex “What’s the problem?”

Kai “You see we have a friend we have known her for 4 years, but today we learned some truly disturbing news about her. And honestly she is living in hell! She needs to get away from there, her parents are treating her horrible! Trust me, what Betty have told us today about her home life it would rattle even you to the bones!” Kai explained. And I personally trained Kai and he know what kind of man I am, so if he say that it must be absolutely horrible.

Rex “I understand, do you think that her life is in any danger?” I questioned.

Kai “Yes, we need to get her away from there as soon as possible! I’m afraid she only have a few more days to live if she don’t get away soon!” I could hear Kai’s voice starting to break, this person must mean a

lot to him.

Rex – “Can you send me a picture of her? And you said her name was Betty? What’s her last name?” I asked.

Kai – “Yes hold on” he said, then I heard he asked Axel to send me a picture of this Betty girl.

Kai – “Her name is Betty Anderson she is seventeen years old” He informed me as I heard a notification popped in on my phone. I put the call on speaker while I was looking at the picture.

When I looked at the picture I froze up just staring at the picture.

Kai – “Don did you get the picture?” I heard Kai asked me a question I couldn’t take my eyes of the picture of the girl on my phone right now.

“Son, are you okay?” Dad asked but I still could not focus on anything other then the girl on my phone. “Yo, Rex what’s wrong with you?” Leo asked. Then I see my phone get snatched out of my hands and dad, Luca and Leo is looking at the picture and completely freeze up as well.

Kai – “Yo Don is everything okay? Will you help me put a plan in motion to get her out of where she is?” I could hear Kai started to get frustrated on the other end of the call. “Don, if we don’t get her out she will.
