The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 305

Winona stared at Xander, taken aback. "Mr. McCarthy, what is this…?"

Before Xander could answer, she pushed Mia forward. "My sister… she's beautiful, and she's a great homemaker. She's also the vice president of my studio… You probably know by now, I'm… I'm a designer. I have a small studio, and my sister is my second-in-command… Anyway."

"You two… should talk."

After a pause, she added, "And, um… her dowry… you can ask for whatever you want. Of course, Julian's assets and the billion Felicity owes me… well, it's only a few billion. As long as you don't ask for more than a billion, I… I can afford it."

Winona genuinely wanted Mia to marry Xander, especially if she had to choose between him and Claud. She didn't want her sister marrying into the Gallagher family. The saying was true: marrying into a wealthy family was like entering a gilded cage.

She had just escaped one herself.

Her husband had been the head of the most powerful family in Greenwood City, yet for six years, she had been treated worse than a maid.

Xander was different.

He had a stable career and a high income. He was responsible. He was, without a doubt, an excellent choice for a husband.

"You really want your spitfire of a sister to marry me?" Xander asked, using his nickname for Mia.

"If you're willing, I can make her marry you!" Winona declared.

Mia stood there, speechless.

She gave Winona a bewildered look that clearly said, *I'm over thirty years old, don't I get a say in this? You're just going to marry me off to whoever you want?*

But she didn't say a word.

When Winona was serious about something, Mia knew not to interrupt or object. And apparently, marrying her off to Xander was serious business for Winona.
