Just after Felicity was settled in, the housekeeper called to say she'd seen Tiana trailing behind Julian on the security cameras. When Julian opened the car door, Tiana pulled open the back door and climbed in too.

She was so worried about Miss Felly.

Her heart ached for her.

She just couldn't relax if she didn't go along to keep an eye on Miss Felly.

But once they got to the hospital, her dad rushed through the corridors carrying Miss Felly, running from one department to the next. Tiana, with her tiny legs, simply couldn't keep up. It was only after what felt like forever—after Miss Felly was finally hooked up to an IV—that Tiana saw her dad stop for a moment.

She stood behind him, calling out to him over and over.

But he didn't hear her.

He just kept repeating Miss Felly's name, over and over.

Tiana thought, Miss Felly must be really, really sick. She didn't dare go into the room and disturb her, so she curled up on a bench just outside.

She'd run so hard trying to keep up with her dad that she was exhausted. Before she knew it, she'd fallen asleep.

When she woke up, her dad and Miss Felly were both gone.

No matter where she looked, she couldn't find them.

She hadn't brought her phone or her little smartwatch.

She didn't even know how to get home.

Tiana was terrified.

But she was a smart kid. No matter how scared she was, she bravely walked over to a nurse and asked to borrow the landline.

At first, she wanted to call her dad.

But then she thought about how sick Miss Felly was, and how her dad had to take care of her. She didn't want to bother him.

So she called her mom instead.

She decided that, at a moment like this, her mom needed to take responsibility. And if her mom dared not to, well—Tiana swore she'd never, ever forgive her.

The call went through.

Her mom answered and told her to wait right there.

But before her mom could get to her, her dad showed up.

A rush of warmth flooded Tiana's heart.
