The Billionaire Ex-Wife and the Beggar He Became novel Chapter 88

Old Mrs. Shepherd was the first to break the tense silence. "You crazy old bat! How did you even find out I was hosting my birthday luncheon here this year? You actually barged in just to make a scene! Look at yourself—no shame at all! You keep calling him your grandson-in-law over and over. Felly is my granddaughter, not yours!"

"Felly? Who's Felly?" the old woman mumbled, looking utterly confused.

Felicity was the first to react, her voice cold and steady. "Security! Throw these three out. No, wait—make it four, including Winona. Get them all out!"

"Mouthy tramp! You lay a finger on my gran and I'll tear you apart!" Mia, always quick to explode, shot across the room and yanked Felicity by the hair, tackling her to the ground.

The entire room froze in shock.

Mia hiked up her skirt, straddled Felicity, and slapped her hard, left and right—two sharp cracks echoing through the hall.

It was all over in a matter of seconds.

Julian snapped out of his daze to find his hand still gripped by his grandmother. He shoved the old woman aside—she stumbled and collapsed to the floor—then strode over to Mia, clamping down hard on her wrist.

Mia yelped in pain and let go of Felicity.

Without hesitation, Julian flung Mia aside, then bent down to help Felicity up, wrapping an arm protectively around her shoulders.

Felicity's face was a storm of shock, fury, and, most of all, contempt and cold disdain.

She pressed her lips together and uttered just two icy words: "Call police."

"My dear, you're my grandson-in-law! How could you let her call the police…" The old woman sat helpless on the floor, unable to get up, her eyes pleading with Julian.

No matter how outlandish and mismatched her outfit was, she looked utterly pitiful and lost.

Beside her stood little Zane, terrified and fighting back tears, trying desperately not to cry.

Watching it all, Winona felt her heart bleeding, drop by drop.

"Calling the police won't fix this," Julian said quietly, steadying Felicity before pulling out his phone and dialing. When the call connected, his tone was calm, yet steely and final: "I want everyone—old and young—who caused this scene at the luncheon, escorted three thousand kilometers out of Greenwood City. All four of them."

Three thousand kilometers? To where?
