The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 536

Celeste paused for a moment.

Kieran, however, just smiled and said, "It's fine. You can eat it later when you're hungry. If you don't feel like having this, I'll make something fresh for you later."

Celeste hesitated, then replied softly, "...Alright. Thank you."

For a brief moment, the three of them fell into an awkward silence.

Noticing Celeste's discomfort, Lottie and Matthias quickly stepped in to ease the tension.

Lottie said, "Mr. Briggs brought his guitar. Come on, let's go listen to him sing."

Celeste and Lottie walked off, leaving Caleb and Kieran standing there. The two men exchanged a glance, said nothing, and quietly went back to the bonfire they had built earlier.

Wynn and her group didn't hear what Kieran or Caleb had said to Celeste, but after seeing that scene, Wynn froze for a moment. It almost looked like something was going on, but then she shook her head, thinking she might be overanalyzing.

Miles's friends also happened to know Caleb.

They hadn't paid him much attention before, since they weren't close.

But now, seeing that moment, one of them withdrew his gaze and said, "Who's that woman? She's seriously beautiful. No wonder even Mr. Jennings, who never shows interest in women, seems to be falling for her."

Linda instantly bristled. "What do you mean by that? Don't be stupid. Mr. Jennings wouldn't possibly like her."

Her irritation wasn't just denial. She couldn't accept that a man as outstanding as Caleb might actually be interested in Celeste.

Besides, as far as she knew, Celeste and Matthias were basically a couple. How could there be anything between her and Caleb?

And even if Caleb did like Celeste, he wouldn't openly make a move in front of Matthias, right? If he really did, Matthias would have lost his temper already.

As for Kieran, that was even more unlikely. Everyone knew he liked Wynn.

Celeste didn't know what Wynn's group thought.

Asher Briggs was one of Matthias's friends, and he was pretty good at playing the guitar.

Their group sat around, listening to him sing and play, while Lottie, being the outgoing type, even picked a few songs and sang along with him.
