The Breaking Point of Love novel Chapter 539

Most of the people camping here tonight had come for the meteor shower.

Unfortunately, even after waiting until past 1:00 am, Celeste and her friends didn't see a single shooting star. Eventually, they decided to head back to their tents to rest.

Matthias, Caleb, and Kieran watched as Celeste disappeared into her tent.

Once she was gone, Matthias glanced at the two men beside him, cleared his throat, and said, "She's not officially divorced yet. Even if you're planning to pursue her, mind your boundaries. Don't make things harder for her."

"I know," Kieran replied first. But then he frowned slightly. "Still… If I remember right, her mandatory waiting period should've ended a while ago. Why isn't the divorce finalized yet? Did something go wrong?"

Caleb already knew about Celeste's divorce delay—Matthias had explained the basics to him earlier—so he stayed quiet.

Hearing Kieran's question, Matthias could only purse his lips and repeat, "That guy had something come up at work and missed the date. They had to reapply for divorce."

Kieran asked again, "Then when does the new mandatory waiting period end?"

"Don't worry, it's soon. Within this month."

It was getting late, and Matthias was already sleepy. He yawned and waved a hand. "Alright, I'm turning in. You two—"

Before he could finish, Caleb suddenly spoke up. "Who is he?"

Matthias immediately knew who "he" referred to—Celeste's husband.

Because Caleb had shown interest in Celeste, he'd reached out to Matthias a few times before, asking about her situation. But not once had he asked about her husband.

It wasn't that he wasn't curious or upset. He just thought—whoever that man was, he was part of Celeste's past.

Once the divorce was done, that person would be a stranger to her, and that was all that mattered.

Besides, if one day he was fortunate enough to truly be with Celeste, she would eventually tell him about her past on her own.
