THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 363

After hanging up, Farrell ended the call abruptly, his face clouded with irritation.

He just couldn’t wrap his head around it.

Why was Dowager Hannah Richards so intent on setting him up with Freya? Did she honestly think he was only good enough for a woman who’d already been divorced?

Just as he put his phone away, the gorgeous woman he’d just brushed off strode over again, undeterred. “Hey, handsome, didn’t you say you didn’t have your phone? Looks like you do.”

Farrell, dressed head to toe in designer brands and exuding an air of privilege, was clearly not your average man. The woman wasn’t about to let this catch slip through her fingers.

But Farrell was already in a foul mood. “You really ought to know your limits. Didn’t you notice? It’s not that I don’t have my phone—I just don’t want to add you on WhatsApp.”

The woman’s face drained of color, embarrassment radiating from her as she shifted awkwardly. Handsome as he was, that tongue of his was sharp enough to wound.

Caitlin hurried through the arrivals hall, wheeling her suitcase behind her, and spotted her grandmother, Dowager Hannah Richards, waiting with open arms.

“Grandma!”

With a delighted cry, Caitlin all but flew into the elderly woman’s embrace.

“Freya, my sweet girl, you’re finally home.”

Hannah hugged her tightly, her face glowing with happiness.

Linking arms, Caitlin looked around expectantly. “Oh, Grandma, where’s Nana?”

She remembered both her grandmothers insisting on picking her up at the airport when she boarded the plane, refusing to let the driver come in their place.

“You said before takeoff you were craving roasted sweet potatoes, remember? On the way here, we saw a stand selling them by the exit, so your Nana went to buy some.”

Just as she finished speaking, Keira appeared, holding a steaming paper bag. “Freya, here’s the roasted sweet potato you wanted.”

“Thank you, Nana!”

Keira gave her a playful scolding. “Child, there’s no need to thank your grandmother for something like this.”

With motherly care, Keira bundled Caitlin into a wool hat and scarf she’d brought from home. “Freya, you know the weather here in the Capital is much colder than Silverhaven. Our car’s parked out on the road, so don’t catch a chill, alright?”

The three generations chatted and laughed as they left the airport together.

Amanda nodded. “Of course, Freya. I understand.”

She didn’t mind playing along at all. If Keira found out Caitlin wasn’t succeeding, she might bring someone else in to treat Stuart. Right now, leaving it to Caitlin meant less trouble for Amanda.

“Thank you, Aunt Amanda.”

Amanda smiled, all warmth and sincerity. “Freya, there’s no need to thank me. Stuart’s not just your father, he’s also my little brother. No one wants to see him recover more than I do, trust me.”

As they entered the living room, Keira immediately turned to Amanda. “Amanda, how’s Stuart doing? Is there any improvement?”

Amanda met Caitlin’s gaze before answering with an easy smile. “Don’t worry, Mom. Stuart’s health is improving little by little. With Freya’s medical skills, he’s in the best hands—she’ll wake him up, I’m sure of it!”

Relief washed over both Keira and Hannah at the news.

Suddenly, Keira seemed to remember something. “Oh, Amanda, I heard Ann’s become a huge online celebrity—over fifty million followers! And, they say she even saved Mr. Quinten’s life. Is that true?”

Suspicion flickered in her eyes as she posed the question.

Amanda blinked, feigning surprise. “Mom, how did you find out? Ann is so modest—she didn’t want anyone making a big deal about it.”
