THE DIVORCE GAMBIT From Dumped Wife to CEO's Forever novel Chapter 376

The moment Ann finished speaking, even Old Mrs. Ryan looked at her with surprise, a glimmer of admiration shining in her eyes. “Keira, your granddaughter is truly full of hidden talents!”

Ann’s eyes sparkled with pride as she glanced at Caitlin, who was quietly sipping her water.

Anyone could tell—even with just a bit of common sense—that Caitlin must be green with envy right now.

Hmph! And there was more to come that would make her even more envious.

Old Mrs. Ryan turned to Amanda with a smile. “Amanda, you’ve truly raised a remarkable daughter!”

Amanda returned her smile. “You’re too kind, Mrs. Ryan.”

Ann looked at her grandmother. “By the way, Grandma, I invited Mr. Winslow from Apex Studios to the house today. Didn’t you want to discuss a partnership with Apex? This would be the perfect chance for you to talk with him face-to-face!”

Keira’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Ann, you mean Mr. Winslow is coming here today?”

Ann nodded, brimming with satisfaction. She’d arranged this on purpose, knowing both Old Mrs. Ryan and Carla would be present. She wanted them to see just how impressive she was.

Carla stared at her in disbelief. “Apex? Ann, you mean the Apex Game Studios that developed *Imperial Ascent*?”

Ann nodded again, her expression calm and composed. “Yes, the very same Apex that published *Imperial Ascent*.”

Carla leaned in eagerly. “I’m a level 5 player in *Imperial Ascent*! I absolutely adore Apex’s Miss Kensington. Ann, if you know Mr. Winslow, does that mean you also know the mysterious mastermind behind Apex—Miss Kensington herself?”

Anyone who played *Imperial Ascent* was curious about the enigmatic Miss Kensington.

“Of course I know her. We’re actually best friends. Just a few days ago, she invited me on a trip together.” The words slipped out of Ann’s mouth without hesitation; after all, she’d already met Victor, so meeting Miss Kensington was just a matter of time.

Soon enough, Miss Kensington would definitely become her closest confidante.

Carla pressed on, “I heard online that Miss Kensington is really young. Is that true? How old is she, actually?”

“She just turned forty this year.” Ann wasn’t making this up—she’d looked up the information herself.

Caitlin, who’d just taken a sip of water, choked and coughed, turning to Ann in disbelief. “Are you sure Miss Kensington is already forty?”

Ann couldn’t help but sneer inwardly at Caitlin’s lack of composure.

Look at her, completely out of her depth. She must be eaten up with jealousy.

“Of course it’s true! Why would I lie? I’m Miss Kensington’s best friend,” Ann replied, her eyes sparkling with pride as she looked at Caitlin. “Freya, I know you admire her too. Don’t worry—we’re sisters, after all. When the time is right, I’ll introduce you to Miss Kensington myself.”

Just then, the butler approached respectfully. “Madam, Mr. Winslow from Apex Game Studios has arrived.”

Keira looked up. “Thank you. Please show him in.”

Ann jumped to her feet. “I’ll go greet him at the door!”

Amanda quickly followed. “Ann, I’ll come with you.”

Moments later, Amanda and Ann returned with Victor in tow.

Ann, beaming, made the introductions. “Mr. Winslow, this is my grandmother.”

“Keira,” Victor said with a polite nod, briefcase in hand.

“Welcome to the Gonzales family home, Mr. Winslow,” Keira said warmly.

Ann then led Victor over to Caitlin, her expression gleaming with pride. “Mr. Winslow, this is the granddaughter our family just brought home from abroad—my cousin, Freya.”

The moment Victor saw Caitlin, he froze in shock, staring at her in disbelief. “Miss Kensington?!”
