With a magician’s flourish, Xavier produced a pink-ruffled fox plush from behind his back. "Look what I brought you!"

"It's Nina!" Caitlin squealed, taking the toy in both hands. "She’s my favorite—thank you, Brother Xavier!"

Nina was the star of a hit animated show, beloved by children and teens alike. Xavier always treated Caitlin like the little sister she was, spoiling her with gifts and attention.

"And that’s not all," Xavier added, handing her a small gift box filled with jewelry.

"Wait here! I have a present for you too," Caitlin announced, dashing upstairs to her room.

Her bedroom was right next to Hannah’s—a picture-perfect princess suite, all pastel pinks and soft whites. The wardrobe was stuffed with brand-new outfits, tags untouched, and the vanity was lined with unopened skincare products—all arranged by Jade and Stephanie, who made sure Caitlin always had a place of her own, even though she didn’t stay in Neon Spire often. The room was kept spotless, ready for her visits.
