Sloane didn’t budge. She let out a cold laugh. “Since Mr. Simon doesn’t know the meaning of integrity, then I see no reason to be polite anymore.”
Her hands moved swiftly. The frozen teenager suddenly felt a jolt of numbness ripple through his body. The next second, he collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony.
Simon’s rage exploded. He charged at Sloane, but Gordon stepped in just in time, blocking him with an outstretched arm. “Don’t be reckless!” Gordon snapped, then turned to Sloane. “Doctor, please calm down. You’ll get your payment–every cent of it. But please, let my nephew go first.”
Sloane’s expression remained cold.
“I’m not taking thirty million anymore,” she said sharply. “I want sixty million.”
The second Madam of the Kent family shrieked, “Sixty million?! You must be out of your mind! Who just doubles the price like that?”
Sloane sat down lazily, her gaze calm as she watched the boy roll on the floor in pain. She slowly raised two fingers. “Now it’s for two people. Of course the price doubles.”
“You… you’re going too far!” Madam Wendy’s voice shook with rage. But seeing her son in such agony, she shut her mouth.
Sloane turned to Gordon. “Mr. Gordon, if you think it’s too expensive, that’s fine. I’ll leave now. Whatever happens to Mr. Clark from here on, I’m not responsible.”
Gordon’s face went pale, then flushed red. He knew full well how skilled this doctor was. His father’s life still hung in the balance. If they truly offended her now, the consequences would be devastating.
After a moment of agonized thought, he gritted his teeth. “Fine. Sixty million it is. Doctor, as soon as my father wakes up, I’ll personally hand it over.”
Sloane gave a slight nod. “Good.”
She walked over to the boy on the floor and tapped a few points on his body. The pain vanished immediately.
He scrambled away in panic, half–crawling, half–running. He wouldn’t dare get near this doctor again.

Sloane dusted off her hands and stood. “Let’s be clear–Mr. Clark’s condition can’t be cured with one or two treatments. Each session is thirty million. Whether or not you want to proceed, that’s your decision.”
She glanced at Gordon. “Now, prepare a room for me. I need to rest.”
Gordon immediately instructed the butler to take her to a guest room.
After Sloane left, Simon grumbled resentfully, “How could you agree to give her the money so easily? What if she’s a con artist?”
