Andrew observed his expression closely. “Not yet. So far, all we’ve found is that there was a renowned miracle doctor over twenty years ago. It’s possible she was Ms. Sloane’s mentor. But for some reason, that doctor suddenly vanished two decades ago. No one knows where she went.”

Seeing Lucas’s face pale further, Andrew quickly added in a low voice, “Sir, if her mentor was truly that skilled, then Ms. Sloane is in the best possible hands. She’ll receive excellent treatment.”

“She’ll come back once the poison is cured,” Andrew said confidently. “She still has unfinished business with you the auction of the pills. She won’t just disappear.”

Lucas’s expression finally eased. He murmured, “Right… I still owe her something. She’ll come back…”

“Andrew, take me to Conor’s office.”

He had to explain everything to Conor personally.

When Conor heard about Sloane’s poisoning, he was deeply alarmed. Thankfully, Sloane had shared the formula for the pills with the military’s medical team beforehand. As long as they followed her recipe, the pills could be reproduced.
